202 San Felipe St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104, United States

“Great museum! Everywhere you turn, you get something new and exciting. The snakes and other critters look very well taken care of. A good place to take kids, but it is small, so mind your space. Owner and volunteer were very approachable and kind - their souvenirs are top quality!”

Santa Fe Children's Museum

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

1050 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87505, United States

“Very clean and well maintained, super friendly staff and hand sanitizers on site for cleanliness and prevention. They have everything from water games to gardens & a terrarium as well as a hydroponic setup. They have multiple types of games for kids and a neat little gift shop that has a little of everything. The staff was great! Especially the newly hired woman, she was very nice and really neat to converse with!”

Coronado Historic Site
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

485 Kuaua Rd, Bernalillo, NM 87004, United States

“I would visit just for the views! There is a small museum and a special exhibit showing murals that were removed from the ruins for conservation. The actual ruins are barely noticeable, follow the path and read the description of what each area used to look like. A very small gift shop that does not compare to any of the offerings in Albuquerque or Santa Fe. I would say this is the perfect place for historians and archeologists interested in knowing about the excavations and remains.”

The O'keeffe: Welcome Center
4.7

Closed until 10:00 AM

21120 US-84, Abiquiu, NM 87510, United States

“I have to say I was beyond excited to view the O'Keeffe Welcome Center and home. I was not able to view the home but the welcome center/museum was open. Beautiful building design. Great gift shop. Offered video viewing. Articles of her camping life were on display. I love this artist and felt blessed to be in her element of New Mexico.”

Alien Zone
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

216 N Main St, Roswell, NM 88201, United States

“My pup & I had a great time wandering through the exhibit and taking pictures. The props could use a little fixing up, but I imagine it's hard to keep everything looking shiny & new when it's available to the public. The wear kind of adds to the charm, in a way. Cashier was super sweet.”

“A wonderful adventure in the ale train! Great fun and good views. A unexpected bonus is that the musician was fantastic. I live here but had never done this trip before. Plan to do again for sure.”

Oldest House Museum
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

215 E De Vargas St, Santa Fe, NM 87501, United States

“The Oldest House Museum, also known as the De Vargas Street House, is a historic site located on De Vargas St. in Santa Fe. It’s a two-room adobe building with a collection of historical artifacts not related to the home. The “oldest house” claim isn’t accurate; a study of the wooden ceiling beams in the house reportedly showed they were cut between 1740 and 1767 - a century after the Braman-Nothnagle Log House which was built between 1638 and 1643 in Gibbstown, New Jersey. There also isn’t a firm date for when the De Vargas House was constructed and different scientists and historians have posited different date ranges. Despite this, the museum not only makes the claim it’s the oldest home, but has posted a condescending list of claims of why people shouldn’t question them, writing “think about it.” The museum isn’t manned with any personnel or docent, and there isn’t a check-in of any kind or reception area. You enter into the gift shop, take a left, read the condescending signs in the first room and then step down into a second room with unrelated items along the walls. To call this former house a “museum” is generous. It’s a gift shop that happens to have two rooms attached with an undetermined history and will take about 10 minutes to walk through if you include the gift shop. It is not a member of the New Mexico Association of Museums. Don’t waste your time here - there’s much better sites to visit in Santa Fe.”

Roswell Museum
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

1011 N Richardson Ave, Roswell, NM 88201, United States

“Wow. The honk if you don't exist exhibit really spoke to me . The lay out of the bldg is ..... convoluted and the map is not to scale but it's a beautiful place and I honestly prefer to be a little lost in a museum. The pricing is fair and the staff was friendly. There's many different exhibits on display right now, even though two of them are closed currently to be re installed . Writing this before I get to see the planetarium movie , but I'm excited for that as well.”
