The detail and history were perfectly laid out for any age group, and you could spend hours and hours here and never lose interest. Rocky Fork Dude Ranch Rv Resort & Campground Ohio
4.2
( 16 reviews )

74978 Broadhead Rd, Kimbolton, OH 43749, United States

“It’s been an off/on relationship with this place. This is where my family toured and signed up. I’ve gone and stayed a few times and I can’t say I’ve felt welcomed any time I’ve checked in. Can’t say why either just always felt like something was off or I didn’t belong there. Once I stayed in a dirty cabin. They came to clean it AFTER we checked in. Then the heater stopped working in the middle of winter. They came to “fix” it and told me I couldn’t put it up higher than 70°. It was freezing in the cabin! The next day it was so cold we were scared to leave the bed. Inside the cabin was in the 40s. They came back out that evening and said we had to move cabins if we wanted heat. If you book a hot tub cabin, make sure it’s an actual hot tub before confirming. Jacuzzi tub and hot tub are not the same. Summer time is probably just a better time to go. If you sign up with them, you’ll be stuck with them for the rest of your life. I believe your children will then be stuck with them as well. Monthly dues and fees AND you still gotta pay to stay. :) beware.”

Adena Mansion & Gardens Historic Site
4.7
( 8 reviews )

847 Adena Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601, United States

“This place is great for those who appreciate early Ohio history. It gives us a slice of how Ohio became a state and how Thomas Worthington was instrumental during the process. The house was constructed by Thomas Worthington around 1803 and still stands in much the same way it did then. They have a museum that gives great background on the Worthington family and a house tour that last about 45 minutes. The grounds are beautiful and you can view the overlook that the Ohio State Seal was derived from. Tickets are $12 per person and well worth every penny! We have a rich history in Ohio and this place is a hidden gem right in our backyard!”
