Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House
4.7
( 8 reviews )

399 Lexington Rd, Concord, MA 01742, United States

“This was the center of our trip. Everything else was planned around seeing this. Such a great tour and experience. All the ladies were so friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide, was exceptional. I wish I could remember all their names! It was for my daughter’s birthday. It was wonderful. The rest of Concord was gorgeous and full of more history. Definitely recommend!”

Lowell National Historical Park

Open until 05:00 PM

246 Market St, Lowell, MA 01852, United States

“Parking at the visitors center seemed challenging when I arrived, I drove around and finally found some metered street parking. Apparently, they validate parking in a ramp behind the visitors center. There was also a large surface lot barricaded off for some reason. They offer a free walking tour of Suffolk Mill, a $12 canal tour, a free boarding house museum and $6 self guided tour of Books Mill. Trolleys run to the major sights. I struggled to get an overview of what "Lowell" was and the major sights. It would be nice if they developed a "What to see" in 2-3 hours, a half day and full day, recommendations like many of the National Parks have.”

Cheapo Records

538 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, United States

“Great, great experience. AWESOME soul section. Just AWESOME. Picked up three great ones for quite reasonable prices. Dude who runs this knows what he's doing. This was the third shop I visited while in Boston, and wow did three times ever turn out to be the charm ! (Also hit two other, er, not even close competitor shops... see my reviews for details) If you're from out of town and your time is limited (as mine was), this is your money spot. Great selection, wicked good store! Much respect! 😁”

Robbins Library
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

700 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA 02476, United States

“Fantastic library with a wonderful selection of everything--books and movies (including a good number of foreign films and books), library of things, puzzles, even art to hang on your wall. The reading rooms are nice, and the children's room (which is a whole floor) is awesome. The staff is what really makes this library shine though. They provide reading recommendations, have put together a large number of themed "book bags" to check out if you wanted to learn a new hobby for example or wanted to check out new releases in graphic novel biographies. The children's librarians also put together custom "grab bags" for kids given an age and interest, which is how we have found many of our favorites.”

Rose Art Museum
4.6
( 8 reviews )

415 South St, Waltham, MA 02453, United States

“Rose Art Museum is located at Brandies University, it is free and open to the public. There’s a small parking area in front of the museum which towards the back of the campus along the loop road. The modern/contemporary collection is among the best in New England. Since Covid- they’ve been mostly spotlighting the permanent collection and you’ll find works from Frida Kahlo to Matthew Barney. A good selection of minimal and color field works as well. It’s a great little museum to check out- a small gallery on the first floor and then some larger rooms downstairs. Plus it’s only 20 minutes from Boston. Thumbs up”
