Sydney Jewish Museum
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

148 Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst NSW 2010, Australia

“Sydney Jewish Museum is located in Darlinghurst near the CBD. Very few museums will hit you the way this way this museum hits you. A very informative museum about Jewish history, culture and about the holocaust. Holocaust was one of the darkest times for humanity and education about it is important to ensure such events never ever happen again. They had a new exhibition called “Reverberations” which uses artificial intelligence which has pre-recorded interviews of holocaust survivors to preserve their memories and is worth checking out. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sydney.”

“This was an unexpected experience that has free entry and was enjoyed by teenagers which is a feat in itself! The videos playing were informative and the history throughout was captivating. Well worth your time. It is only open on weekends, maybe for now?”

Brett Whiteley Studio
4.7
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

2 Raper St, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia

“Yesterday we visited the Brett Whiteley Studio in Surry Hills, which is currently showing Chapters 1959–1969. It’s all works made by Whiteley between the ages of 20 and 30, during an intensive period of travel and artistic experimentation. What I liked about this gallery was the way it was arranged. For me the pieces that spoke loudest emanated from Whiteley’s time in Fiji, and a 1968 collage called New York 1. I found the bath nudes too abstract. It’s a multimedia gallery where you can see both a wide range of his art, plus the place where Brett created it, lined with quotes and images he found inspiring. In the small gift shop you’ll find the book that inspired our secret garden visit. Entry is free.”

Gate A, Sydney Cricket Ground, Driver Ave, Moore Park NSW 2021, Australia

“We went for pink test day!! You wouldn't get a better day than this one. You will see a wave of people in pink colour. More importantly, a day to generate money for the McGrath foundation. The members' pavilion is an advantage as it is situated in between the players' dressing room :). You can see the players very closely. A test match between Pakistan vs. Australia was an absolute joy to watch. Both team playing their best, but the Australia team remain on top. The ground itself has history, and it gives you real pleasure to watch the game there. Kudos to all ground staff and management for keeping this place as one of the best places to watch cricket games. The lush green grass, a 40000 seating capacity, and plenty of food and drink option. It's a day to remember for a long time. Have fun all.”
