( 8 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

149 Piccadilly, London W1J 7NT, United Kingdom

“Really beautiful house and the closest you can get to how the duke of Wellington lived and how the battle of Waterloo played a role in history. Only the ground floor and 1st floor are open, and the entire tour will take about an hour or two at a stretch. Beautiful painting and art collected inside. Pricing for entry tickets is on the higher side considering how much time you can spend here/no of rooms. Worth a visit if you are a history lover and want to get a step closer to how one of the richest people in England once lived.”

Highgate Cemetery
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

Swain's Ln, London N6 6PJ, United Kingdom

“Highgate Cemetery is a historic burial ground that is considered one of the most magnificent cemeteries in London. It is divided into two parts - the West and the East. What sets Highgate Cemetery apart is that it is the final resting place of numerous famous Londoners, including Karl Marx, George Eliot, Michael Faraday, and Tom Sayers, among others. During my visit, I spent over three hours exploring the cemetery and its various sections, including the Egyptian Avenue, Circle of Lebanon, and Terrace Catacombs. I would highly recommend visiting this remarkable cemetery on a sunny day and perhaps even joining one of the guided tours available. There is so much to see and learn about, and I personally cannot wait to visit again and delve deeper into its history.”

London Review Bookshop
4.6
( 8 reviews )

14-16 Bury Pl, London WC1A 2JL, United Kingdom

“just a review of the cafe: - walking in from the bookshop, smell of books fades to a small but bustling little cafe area with plenty of sunlight - drinks are a bit pricey, but they are large. the iced coffee and the turmeric tonic were £4.50 each. the turmeric tonic was very good. fruity, sweet, and refreshing. - they dont allow outside food which was a bit annoying (they informed me in a sorta rude way) so bumping down a star”

Wellcome Collection
4.5
( 16 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

183 Euston Rd., London NW1 2BE, United Kingdom

“It is a very memorable and multifunctional museum. The first floor has a splendid art gallery with gender and sex history themes exhibit, and on the second floor, they have a bit of a collection related to science and medicine history on the second floor, and on the top floor, there is a very nice reading room that also displays the number of oil paintings and is there a pillow on the staircases where you can just lie down and read a book. There’s also a library, but this time I didn’t go because it was locked up and it seems like it is a very nice library. The gift shop is also worth checking out today for some unique products. This place is a part of welcome trust it’s not just educational, but also enlightening.”

Rosemary Branch
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 12:00 PM

2 Shepperton Rd, London N1 3DT, United Kingdom

“We went here on Sunday as a group of 6. The pub was busy with the rugby being on but we managed to find a table. There was a good selection of beers and the staff were friendly and service very good. The chicken roast was fantastic, not dry and absolutely full of flavour that you could tell of its quality. Others at the table had the beef and said this was also brilliant. The sides were also great and really elevated the meal. Will definitely be going back and looking forward to trying more of the menu.”

Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain
4.5
( 10 reviews )

Piccadilly Circus, London W1J 9HS, United Kingdom

“This is a well known iconic monument in the middle of London. The whole area is bustling and always vibrant with activity. The monument itself is quite special, and as you can see from my photos, the police will protect it and like to prevent people from climbing on it.”

Cecil Sharp House
4.6
( 10 reviews )
Open until 11:00 PM

2 Regent's Park Rd, London NW1 7AY, United Kingdom

“Visited a Family Barn Dance event, so take this review with a pinch of salt if you're not dancing with the kids. The main venue is the large Kennedy Hall, with stage, surround seating, and of course room for dancing. This event was well-organised, with caller and musicians up on stage, two or three helpful staff milling around just in case, and (usually but not today), a cafe downstairs serving cold drinks to sweaty people. The format for this event was about 90 minutes long, with each section lasting around 10 minutes, first starting with a detailed explanation of each dance, then the band joins in for the main thing. Now and again, a short break allowed some breathing space before we set off again. The English Folk Dance and Song Society events here include concerts / gigs, but many participatory events from dancing to instrumental and singing groups. Have also attended here for an evening comedy performance, which was crammed full. The place is accessible as far as I could tell, with a lift from street level to all floors. The nearest tube is Camden Town on the Northern Line, about 10 minute's walk away. What's nearby? You're very close to Primrose Hill, Regent's Park and London Zoo.”

Newport Street Gallery
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

1, 9 Newport St, London SE11 6AJ, United Kingdom

“Excellent contemporary art gallery housed within a renovated Victorian scenery-painting studio in Vauxhall, south London. The gallery was developed to show art work in the private collection of Damien Hirst. The current show of works by British artist Brian Clarke is excellent. Clarke is best known for his large-scale stained glass work and there is plenty of this in the current show. But there is also a lovely wall of 327 framed collages of flowers and nature. This show is open until the end of 2023 and is well worth a visit. Entry to the gallery is free.”

Queen Elizabeth Hall
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

Southbank Centre, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 8XX, United Kingdom

“My first time here, which I cannot believe and why it's taken so long to do so. Saw Riopy and it was an excellent piano performance from him, highly recommend it in terms of the venue and seeing this type of performance. It's the Southbank Queen Elizabeth Hall and I look forward to going again. If you're visiting London and there's someone you like performing here, make sure to do so. Solid A***** LDT x”

Hunterian Museum
4.6
( 16 reviews )

The Royal College of Surgeons of England 38, 43 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A 3PE, United Kingdom

“Nestled within the grand halls of the Royal College of Surgeons in London, the Hunterian Museum stands as a testament to the remarkable advancements in medicine and surgery over centuries. Housing an extensive collection of artifacts, specimens, and surgical instruments, the museum offers a captivating journey through the evolution of medical practices, from ancient times to the present day. The museum's heart lies in the extraordinary bequest of John Hunter, a renowned 18th-century surgeon and anatomist. Hunter's passion for medical knowledge led him to amass a vast collection of specimens, spanning the human body, animals, and pathological conditions. These preserved specimens, meticulously prepared and labeled, provide a stark yet compelling insight into the fragility and resilience of the human form. Beyond its collection of anatomical specimens, the Hunterian Museum also houses an impressive array of surgical instruments, dating back to ancient civilizations. These tools, ranging from rudimentary scalpels to intricate bone saws, offer a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of surgical techniques and the ingenuity of medical practitioners throughout history. The museum's exhibits are not limited to physical artifacts; it also features paintings, sculptures, and historical documents that illuminate the social and cultural context of medicine. These visual representations depict the lives of surgeons, patients, and medical institutions, adding a human dimension to the museum's collection. The Hunterian Museum is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in medical history, anatomy, or the evolution of surgical practices. Its unique collection and engaging exhibits offer a captivating journey through the past, present, and future of medicine, making it a truly remarkable destination for curious minds.”

The Royal Geographical Society ( With Ibg )
4.6
( 16 reviews )

1 Kensington Gore, South Kensington, London SW7 2AR, United Kingdom

“I am judging this venue entirely due to how userfriendly it is as a supplier. I DO love a loading bay. And this one could not be more convenient. Right behind the venue which is still on an easily accessible main road next to Hyde Park. The room that gets used for dinners is literally just inside the door of the loading bay. So when you have candelabra and large floral displays to handle, this could not be more convenient. Staff if friendly and the collection arrangements were flexible and agreeable to all. Thank you for having us. We would very much love to return”

Definitely on the list for a good choice for a night out or friends' catchup”

“I visited with my family on a Saturday afternoon. The museum was pristine, it is the cleanest and well developed museum I have been to recently, and I've been to a lot of museums. I was very impressed by every member of staff, they were very polite and welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. Each member of staff were very knolegable about the history. The museum was very engaging for children and adults. I loved the film at the start. Thank you for a great day.”
