Hardknott Roman Fort & Thermae.
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Hardknott Pass, Holmrook CA19 1TH, United Kingdom

“Roman Fort Ruins. The hardknott pass leading to the location is at times a hard drive. Not to be taken lightly... Especially if the weather is icy or even heavy rain , the roads are difficult enough. The Fort however is good. It was very boggy on the day and windy. Its an exposed location so dress accordingly to the weather conditions. Keep you're dogs on the lead at all times. There's usually sheep roaming around. We saw a dog chasing the sheep. Not good ! Enjoy the Fort 👍”

Honister Pass, Keswick CA12 5XN, United Kingdom

“We did the adrenaline package and had Andy as our guide! Andy was very fun and helpful through the entire experience! Going through the mine was so fun but dress warm as it gets down to 8 degrees inside there! Also recommend waterproof pants and shoes as it does get wet down there! Highly recommend and would love to try other activities at Honister the next time I’m in the Lake District!”
