Asked about fixing the transparent ends and she said she already gave me four coats.. The convenience and the Netflix on tv is not worth the poor results. Standard nail spots offer better results for less cost.”

“I've been to Polish Nail bar a few times now. Been other places too, and always come back here. Why? Well, the quality is beyond anything I get anywhere else. I had acrylics (Solar gel) put on right before a six week RV vacation last year. Andy suggested I do an ombre so that as they grew out it would be less noticeable. I absolutely loved it, and that manicure lasted 5 weeks before I had to go get them reset. I was amazed at how well they stayed put, the longevity of the gel - it didn't fade, chip, or crackle - even when I was swimming in the ocean and camping! I had oodles of compliments on them as well. I had an ombre done again this spring and I am in love with them. Planning on a reset right before we leave for five weeks, and likely won't have to get them done until we get back! Simply put, the BEST salon out of the five or six on the west end of Ottawa I have tried.”

“Outdated salon and outdated energy. They have Zero regard for loyal customers. I got my hair blow dried 2-3x per month, I have spent over $1000 since November 2022. I cancelled ONE time due to food poisoning and I was charged and shown zero sympathy. Important to note when the stylist cancelled on me last minute, on 3 occasions this year, I was very understanding. The owner/ manager have zero business etiquette or respect for their loyal, repeat customers, they would rather a $50 fee than my ongoing business for the year/years to come. It’s a blessing in disguise, I found a fantastic new salon with great energy! Yes Christine rather than insulting people you should do your homework, I am a very real client. Sabrina called me to reassure me she would be charging me, there was no miscommunication. Thanks!”

“Went to get my roots done two weeks ago and had a hair stylist named Fiona. I was charged $100 (before tip) just for the dye (no cut no hair dry/style or anything. I dried and straightened my own hair). Now I have very uneven gross lines in my hair and am super self conscious. They also asked if they could take a picture for their portfolio and then claimed my split dyed hair was “full service done by Fiona” when in reality she isn’t responsible for my hair style/cut or dye in any way other than the roots that are now poorly done on one side of my split dyed hair.”

“Glamour Nails, Orleans, on Tenth Line Rd. I have been going to glamour nails, monthly for the last 3 years. Last week, i called to make an appointment and requested a new service that I hadn’t tried before “chrome”. It wasn’t done properly and resembled a simple colour. I called and was told that I could have it fixed without cost within 7 days. A few days later, I returned for me free fix, AND showed pictures and specified that I wanted pink chrome. When all was done, I got up and headed towards the door as I knew I would not have to pay. The gentleman became very stressed and demanded I pay. I calmly explained to him and another woman that I was here for a fix. They refused and said that I had chosen a different colour. I continued to try and explain, but they were both becoming more anxious and rude. My first visit, I payed 60+ dollars for the chrome. After my “free fix”, I payed 33.90$ and I was explained that this was how much the full chrome cost. So not only did I get publicly shamed and yelled at by people who have done me nails 50+ times before, the price wasn’t even accurate?? I then left a detailed complaint and request via their Facebook page (where booking is completed) and received no answer. I called and spoke to a man who had a lot of excuses. They ended up reimbursing me 33.90$. There’s no way I’m ever showing me face there again, too crazy. First pic is the initial “chrome that I was charged 60$+ for and the second was following the fix (and it still didn’t eat)”
