“Update: contacted them, spoke to the nail tech, and let them know what happened. I was told it must have been my fault (which is very untrue!) and then he told me he’d refund. I haven’t received it but I’ll count this as a sunk cost and just avoid this place. Sucks because Flower and this one lady who did my nails once were so professional and did my eyebrows and nails flawlessly! 10/16/2023: Absolutely horrendous. The guy who has done my nails twice (not the guy with the mustache, the other one) has no consideration for guests: he’s rough, pushy, and does not make it like a comforting nail appointment. My recent appointment I got gel x and as he put the nails on my fingers, the glue/gel x was clearly burning under the light and despite me telling him, he did nothing. He picked the wrong nail sizes and forced them on my nail beds. He did my gel x nails while I was on the foot massage chair. I don’t know but I would think that is a bad place to be doing acrylics! Now part of my finger is bleeding and cracked because he didn’t do his job correctly.I did call and they offered to fix it BUT WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO FIX? I will not be back again and he seriously needs classes on how to be professional and less rough at a nail salon. I am on my way to an urgent care to check this out. If you go her, go to Flower or just anyone else.”

“went to this beauty school for a haircut. I went to two instructors, and both asked a student if they could cut my hair. Both students turned me down because they didn't cut black hair. That's an insult in this day and age. Both the students and the school are missing great opportunities for learning instead of contributing to racism. As a former instructor of Cosmetology, I would not recommend anyone to attend this school. Your goal is to rise, expand your creativity, and remain ripe in this business. That's what the future is, and that's not being taught at this school. This school isn't a positive addition to the community. Think about it.”

“I’ve been coming here for 4 years off and on and I only do my gel nails with Thao (she gets 5 stars for professionalism and gel longevity). But I recently did my mani w Kim and it didn’t last a week. I asked for gel builder to make them harder but they were still bending. The lifted edges were getting caught in my hair and clothes so I ended up pulling it off. All in all super disappointed! Guess I have to take my business elsewhere.”

“So glad I chose this spot for the mani and pedi I desperately needed. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Prices are laid out clearly and very reasonable. Techs are thorough and meticulous. I loved that they took their time and ensured I was happy and comfortable throughout my time there. I loved the Venmo cards! We have become a cashless society so it was extremely convenient to be given printed Venmo QR codes so I could easily tip the techs.”

“So disappointmented with my eyebrow service today. After Hannah compeleted my nails, the MOD, in which I didn’t get her name did my eyebrows. She made a few comments about my eyebrows being a problem because she clearly made some mistakes. When she was finished, she never gave me a mirror and she walked out. I took a look and was horrified because I’m going on a trip in a few days. I’ve been here a few times and have been riding the fence on if some here don’t know English, or are they just mean. I really love the way Hannah does my nails and the fact that it’s around the corner from my home, makes it convenient. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be returning. :(”

“Run from this place!!! Listen to the bad review this place is horrible!!! I should of run out of there the moment I walked in. The place looks old & dirty. Un kept. Looks like it hasn’t been clean in years. I went to get a full set & a pedicure they charge me $110. I almost had a heart attack. (My fault since I did not ask up front how much.) I told the guy who worked on me. The nails are not filled all the way he told me “I did a good job for you don’t worry.” If this is his best work. I don’t want to see his worst. He has no customer service skills at all, he seams to be in charge. The full set I got was extremely short. The nail were not correctly size. Not file down it has rough corners, I’m constantly scratching myself, they are uneven, and cooked it . the lady that did my pedicure cut my nail super short causing it to bleed. The water for the pedicure was cold. No message on the chair, the UV light they use to dry your nail was flickering not sure if it even worked properly. This place is a nightmare I definitely don’t recommend this place…STAY AWAY! UPDATE: I called the owner. He said the replied are automated populated. When I explain the situation he suddenly remember. He told me he was busy but would call me back. 3 weeks later & im still waiting for a call back. This place is horrible & will never be back!”

“PISS ON THE SEATS?! Not here at the Hollywood & vine equinox! It's been a few months since joining this location, and usually the first thing that grosses me out is the mens locker room! Mens bathrooms can be a Filthy place, especially at budget gyms. This facility is clean, immaculate, and efficient. Mind your other, well paying members! The trainers are helpful, respectful, and really have a can-do attitude. They feature a variety of yogal group exercises, even ballet. The GM Brandon runs a tight ship! I should've joined sooner!”
