“Our first visit, definitely won't be the last!! Plenty of choice from 3 menus, we went for the a la carte. Staff were very helpful and attentive, food was delicious and portion size was just right. The one thing I would recommend is booking a table, there were no spares on the night that we went (Tuesday) All in all, a brilliant night, can recommend it to everyone (especially if you like fishy dishes 😊)”

Friendly and welcoming staff, restaurant nicely decorated and big screen TVs all around so great for having a meal and beers while watching the sports. Quick turnaround from placing the order to food being served on the table. Large mixed grill would happily do three people.”

It's well spaced, with cozy spaces and the more open bar area, and the staff were great. There's also a pool table downstairs that was in constant use when we were there”

“Went here randomly after dinner on a Thursday, wasn’t busy but the atmosphere was a vibe. Pianists and drummer where brilliant, bar staff were funny and nice. You request a song and then sing your heart out, what more can you really ask for.”

“Very much enjoyed it here for lunch. There's a bunch of these around. The only thing I can recommend to improve on is the service. When we got it, it was perfect, but unfortunately we got given our plates and that was it until we put our coats on to leave. So I found it difficult to order more drinks without seeming rude. Maybe they were short staffed for a Sunday..”

“I visited on 9th November, with several members of my immediate family, to watch Mad Dog Mcrea perform. Venue was warm and welcoming, with a "castle keep" feel to the bar, and a good warming real fire. Band were great, and the atmosphere was friendly and respectful. Everyone was there to enjoy themselves, and let others do the same. Very good, highly recommended. Guinness at £4.90 a pint, and served in good quality thick plastic glasses, hardly distinguishable from standard glass.”

“Came here for a gig in the music stage upstairs. Before the doors opened, I enjoyed a few drinks downstairs. The staff were trendy and personable. The venue had a great atmosphere, and catered to a music loving crowd which gave it a very authentic vibe, despite being part of a chain. Overall a great experience.”

I went in the afternoon but the comfy sofas and the low lighting gave the feeling of it being evening which made me not want to leave.
