I had the Blackjack Brewery no. 21: Brew by Numbers pale ale 4% and Turning Point Brewery: Astral Voyage session NEIPA 3.4% (the Astral Voyage was ok) 21/08/23: Blackjack x Runaway Breweries: The Mangolorian mango sour with chilli & lime and Blackjack x Fell Breweries: Pub Piano pale ale 29/10/22: love it here. “I was in search of a vegan & cruelty free hair salon and came across Vanilla Tramp. The decor and finish in the salon is lovely and the levels of cleanliness are very good. Online booking is easy and a patch test is required prior to a first appointment. A deposit is needed for all appointment bookings, even as a repeat customer. I had half a head of foils , with a toner, style and blow dry - totalling £90. I was overall pleased with my hair colour.”

“We were visiting from Texas and saw this place called Jimmy's and we had to pop in for a couple of pints. The bartender was terrific and made us feel at home. My wife had a couple of Old Mout Ciders and I had the Jimmy's Lager and a Honeycomb Pale Ale and it was all good! Music vibe is just right! Stop by and have one...or two...or three.”

“We visited on a Saturday which in hindsight wasn't the best day. We have been several times in the past & one thing that usually stands out (for a Green King pub) is the range of quality cask ales available. Today was no exception, the mainstays are usually Hawshead bitter, Odin pale, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Bank Top Flat Cap to name four & two others, Speckled Hen and usually one from Bowland. In my experienkce the beers have always been well kept & in good condition, today was no exception. Unfortunately, (for me) the pub has several TV's and it just happened to coincide with a "match day", consequently it was really noisy. Luckily the pub is big enough to usually find a side space away from the worst of it. During the week it is usually a lot quieter. The menu is pretty typical of "pub" style offerings , but is varied enough to cater for most tastes with a special limited lunchtime menu offered at reduced rates. All the items we ordered were freshly cooked, tasty & represented good value. The only downside on the day were the toilets which sadly were not the cleanest. All that said, overaul it was a pleasent experience, the beer was excellent & the food hit the spot. To top it off the staff were helpful & friendly. Addendum: Made a follow up visit on the evening of Thurs 4th Jan 24, as on my previous visit the pub was very noisy, in that there were several small groups of over happy people who were extremley loud. Luckily I did manage to find a quieter spot in a side room. Once again the beers were in excellent condition, having tried the Odin, Hawkshead Pale, Flat Cap & Landlord. Despite it being busy the two staff behind the bar were unphased & both were pleasent & helpful. I didn't manage to check the toilets this time, but overall it was a very pleasent experience.”

“Held a private Christmas work party upstairs at Box for 150 people. From start to finish the customer service was excellent thanks to Abi. From arranging drinks, food and our DJ the night went perfectly. The staff were really thoughtful and attentive. Would definitely come back. Everyone had a great night!”

“Great casino, very clean facilities. Staff at reception, tables, and bar are all well-mannered and very interactive. Enjoyed multiple visits yearly, and most of the time's come out better off. That is all down to luck, tho. Parking at the NCP has casino rates if sorted in the reception of the casino.”
