“Equals best Guinness with 2 other Aberdeen pubs. I'm an early afternoon drinker, always feel welcome and staff are usually very efficient. On the few occasions that I've been in through the evening the atmosphere has been boisterous but all good natured. In about 6 years I have never seen any incident that has not been well controlled by staff. Very positive recommendation.”

Same menu/chain as Slains Castle, so the burning hot burger is recommended as it's like being physically attacked by food. Note they are closed for refurbishment 8th Oct 2023 reopening 27th Oct 2023”

“The service at this place was among the worst I have ever experienced. From the quality of the food to the attitude of the staff, it was an absolute disaster. My family and I chose this venue for our Christmas day celebration, considering that the food needed to be pre-ordered months in advance for them to ensure they had enough for the everyone's orders. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they had lost our reservation. We were escorted to our table, only to be told that they had run out of sea bass due to multiple lost reservations and subsequent changes in orders. Despite one person at our table pre-ordering sea bass as their main dish, it was no longer available. We waited about 30 minutes before someone took our drink orders and another 10-15 minutes before the drinks were served. An hour later, our starters arrived, but they were freezing cold and instead of the advertised bread rolls, we received brown bread. It took another hour for our main courses to be served, which were disappointingly cold, dry, and clearly not freshly prepared. The person who originally wanted sea bass ended up ordering steak, but the steak was incredibly tough and nearly inedible. We complained about the quality of the food and were refunded only £50 out of the £250 we had already paid. Despite this, we decided to stay for dessert since we had already paid. However, after waiting an additional hour, only four out of the five desserts arrived, and all three chocolate brownies were missing the sauce. At that point, we decided we had endured enough and left. The complete incompetence and lack of organization at this establishment were astonishing. I strongly advise against wasting your money and time, at this shockingly disappointing place.”

“I visited on Thursday the 9th of November from about 9pm-11pm. Service was absolutely fantastic. Staff were amazing so kind and really made my night<3 Place is wonderful, amazing selection of wines and the cheese board is fantastic. I want to say thank you so much to the lady with the short hair and the man that took our drinks order they were so kind and really made my birthday evening. Thank you so much to all the staff, they are why i’d to return! x”
