“The foods are great, we love almost all that we ordered. From the prawn roll, I understand it is fried, but the prawn is a bit dry but still ok. Tom yum soup is the star for me, though it came only with 3 prawns (it’s mentioned on the menu), the soup is clear, very fresh and tangy. The garlic beef is also good, it came with the salad leaves. The crispy pork with Chinese broccoli and pak choy, we didn’t like the crispy pork as the meat smelled but the vegetables are good and still crunchy. The tofu with cashew is another star dish from vegan menu. The place is quite small, very small isle to walk but always busy. The servants are very friendly and warm, you will be greeted and served with smile. Overall, we enjoyed the foods and will obviously come again to try some other dishes.”

“Feel of the experience was completely authentic but was left very disappointed with the ramen. Broth was super flavourful, rich and deep umami flavours, noodle was soft and bouncy but meat was dry. Little pieces but maybe because I came 1 hour before close. Good meat to noodle ratio, and love the green tea refreshments that are complimentary. Egg was depressingly over cooked, missing that half gooey yolk and soy-marinated bite to it. Would go back to try their gyozas and hope that their meat was more flavoured and juicy. Service is extremely fast and staff are super friendly in this tourist town.”

“Yeah we ordered a lot but did we almost smash all of it? Yes, yes we did. The service was SO GOOD?? We had multiple tables and the other table ordered some prawn noodle dish that we wanted to try so the waiter voluntarily went over and took the dish and scooped us some lol 5 stars just for that honestly. Standout dishes was the veggie one with fried leaves, super crispy. Duck was juicy and saucy, king prawn noodles were outstanding”

“We have ordered takeaway a couple of times. The Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and spicy fried rice all tastes quite good. The second time around, we tried the restaurant's dishes, including red duck curry, yellow curry, sweet and sour pork (Thai style), chicken satay, tom yum soup, and stir-fried pork belly. For sure, it's not top of the class but perfectly acceptable fare. Just remember the main dishes come with ample vegetables. We ordered online and didn't have to wait long.”

“customer service was ok we asked what the bowl size difference was which became a confusion for the waiter. we decided to eat out side where the tables were clear of utensils or added toppings (chillie oil, sriracha etc) so i started gathering what we needed.... to see a waiter pickup a set of utensils/topping and take them to our table, it wouldve been nice to've been told this. we ordered the pho rear beef and pho rear beef with meat ball in large ($17 each). The broth was adverage, 99% of the rear beef were overly cooked and in chuncks which made our experience un-indulging peeling each piece apart was an inconvenience on a positive side the beef balls were quiet nice to eat. The noodles were small so trying to pick them up with chop sticks became a challenge. was served fresh sprouts and thai basil enough for 2 and also a small amout of fresh chill each.”

“Haven’t been to this place for years and this is the final weekend before they close until early 2024. It was very busy but the kitchen coped it well, food came reasonably quick after ordering. Great service too. Highlight for me was the Hokkien Mee. Still the best I had in Melbourne. Other dishes were average, the marmite pork spare ribs could have been better, the bones were big and meat was quite tough. Anyway, will always be back for the hokkien mee.”

“Be sure to take some time to enjoy a schooner at the bar before heading into the main restaurant. Staff are absolutely lovely. We felt so welcome and they guided us well through the menu. Settled on a dozen oysters (natural) and some chili prawns. Spice level was on point. For mains I went 800g of the Crayfish with Garlic and Chili butter sauce. They were exceptional. My mate had the bugs…from all reports they were delicious. If you’re in Melbourne looking for good quality seafood. I’d wholeheartedly recommend RST.”
