“This is by far my second favorite Michelin restaurant in the world apart from Central in Peru (3 Michelin stars, Top 50 restaurants of world), so I must say, this is absolutely a must visit even if you need to take a flight to Bangkok. All the dishes were memorable, and the flavors were varied: a spicy one would be followed by a palate cleansing lighter flavor to help level set the flavors. What this restaurant did really well was leverage local flavors from southern Thai to create a theme of food uniquely Thai, and that helps it get it's well deserved 2 stars. If you are looking to book Michelin restaurants in Bangkok, book this one first! (trust me, been to a few of these in the area). Warning: food can be spicy! But they provide coconut powder to help drown it. Tip for restaurant: I think the story telling is missing to get it to 3 Michelin stars. Having a consistent theme and story talking about each foods origin and packaging it together would definitely push the experience higher. Recommend the chef to visit Central in Peru to learn how they do it to snag their 3 stars. You are close :)”

“For 30 years I have had the pleasure of eating here at least twice a month. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Bangkok. Simple, never fails and the tastiest Ramen in the city. It is as authentic as one can get. Clean, fast and with standards that have carried over the decades. My dish’s of choice are Gilsa and Curry Ramen. Always hot, good and as good as that first bowl I had so many years ago.”

“Lesson..must ask first. Do you have steamed rice or is it out of stock? Wait to cook it first. How do you manage it? Waiting for the food..until it was all eaten and then it arrived..I ordered the food and forgot. When I checked the bill I said I was making you wait some more..I can give it to you.”

“The boat noodles are great and you get to select either pork or beef to go with your noodle (egg/rice). The broth is good, should give it a try. While you are here, do also order some fried bananas as dessert or take away and eat it while you move around to explore the area.”

“Think this place changed recently (?), used to be Shiko Udon Bar, I wouldn’t count too much on the old reviews. Now they seem to solely focus on chicken ramen and all I can say is… wow! The Tori Paltan is some of the best ramen I’ve had in Bangkok. The chicken is surprisingly cooked ”just enough”, just as delicate as your typical pork ramen. Definetively give this place a try.”

“Haha! Another Michelin restaurant I felt terrible. This was definitely the worst Khao Soi I ever had in Bangkok, and this was the most expensive Khao Soi I had in Bangkok! Isn’t it ridiculous? Where was the courage of the restaurant came from? Trust me, if you like Khao Soi, never come here.”

“I spent a week on the Total Fitness programme and had an absolutely fantastic time. Even before I got to Koh Samui, the communication from the team (Elizabeth) was consistent. Once I got there I was made to feel at ease by Danny during my initial assessment. Day 1 through to Day 7 was an amazing experience and everything I expected it to be and more. The training is intense and tailored perfectly to suit the needs of the group. All the coaches are great motivators, kind and considerate. Phil and Sam were amazing. The people behind the scenes were equally key to the operation. The photography team, cleaning and kitchen - I couldn't fault it. They made you feel at home. I looked at a few others but am so glad I chose KohFit. I would absolutely do it again. If you are considering it - there really is nothing to think about, just book it. You won't regret it. The accommodation I stayed at (Crystal Lamai) was also great. I would like to convey a whole hearted thanks to the team at KohFit Thailand for making my time so enjoyable. Keep up the good work and a very happy new year to you all!”

“Worried that their first restaurant would be crowded, I came to their branch in Siam Icon instead. Taking a boat from Wat Pho, which cost me THB 30. It's past lunchtime already. Still, there was a waiting list. Three names before mine. But, not that long to wait. The menu was simple. I decided to give a try to Dried Grinding Squid, Classic Pad Thai Sen-Chan and Pad Thai Sen-Chan with Shrimp Oil wrapped in egg. Dried Grinding Squid was basically similar to dried squid snacks you can find in grocery stores. It came with brown sauce, I did not recognize what it was made from. The sauce tasted sweet, while the squid was a bit savory, almost plain. Texture wise, a bit chewy. The difference between the two pad thais is the classic one had light flavor and looked pale white, unlike most pad thais which were brownish. While the one with shrimp oil appeared pale red in color and had a taste of seafood. The crushed peanuts were not mixed with the noodles like you might find in most pad thais. It should be safe for those who are allergic to peanuts. Both of the pad thais were sweet. At the beginning, the taste was good. But, gradually it became unpleasant. I suggest adding chillies for a bit of spiciness. They serve chillies on the side. As for the drink, I went for Thai Milk Tea which I surely recommend. It was creamy, not overly sweet. I heard they are famous for their orange juice. The price was quite high for a 500-ml-bottle, around THB 219 at that time. You should ask before ordering because the price can be different every other day.”
