6-9 Hachimancho, Hanno, Saitama 357-0033, Japan

“About 8 minutes walk from the north exit of Hanno Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. If you are coming by car, if you go from the direction of Hanno Station, go down a slightly narrow road from the Hirokoji intersection and there is a free parking lot (next to the back of the store) with 7 spaces. Please note that the road is quite narrow (two-way traffic is possible). If the parking lot is full, we recommend that you use nearby coin parking. (Around 200 yen/h) *There was a line of cars after 12:00, but I thought it was a nuisance. It's a pretty narrow road, so I thought I'd have good manners. It's a tatami-only restaurant (you need to take off your shoes) with about 20 seats. If there is a line, you can come and pick up the menu, so please order in advance. Payment is by cash only. Many reviews say that the amount of noodles is about 400g for an average size, but I felt that the average size was 300g and the large size was around 450g. The soup can only be served hot, but the udon can be served cold. *When I asked the female staff member, she said she didn't know the amount of noodles, so I just experienced it. Arrived by car at 11:25 on a weekday in November 2023. The parking lot has 3 parking spaces for customers. I was 4th in line out of 3 people waiting. As a result, it was delivered at 11:47. Depending on the timing, you may have to wait a while. This time, Tsure and I ordered ``Meat Tsuyu Udon (medium) 780 yen'', ``Meat Tsuyu Udon (large) 860 yen'', ``Squid Tempura 140 yen'', and ``Kakiage 140 yen''. The soup for Nikutsuyu Udon (large) is flavored with Kanto-style bonito and has a mildly sweet flavor. Although it was a small bowl, the salt was effective, so even a large bowl was more than enough. The ingredients are plentiful, with mushrooms, thickly sliced shiitake mushrooms, pork belly, and green onions. The udon has a smooth texture that is neither Musashino udon nor Sanuki udon. This is fine. The udon also gives the impression of being salty. The kakiage (kakiage) and squid were more like a grandma's dish, which was more crunchy than crunchy, and went well with this soup. You can cut it up and serve it, so even if you cut it in half, there was more than enough for two people. A not-so-spicy side of Asakusa? Shichimi? It comes with yuzu seasoning, so you can use it as you like. Boiled soup is also served together. As mentioned earlier, the salt is quite effective. Somehow, I was imagining the regional Musashino udon, but it was a unique type of udon that I could eat without having to strain my shoulders, which made me feel very warm. The building is over 100 years old and has a wonderful atmosphere, which may be the best thing about this restaurant.”

“Honestly, it was a disappointing ramen. The chashu is thin and tasteless, the menma has no taste and no texture, the noodles are soft and chewy, and the soup is soy sauce-based, but it's not delicious either because the taste is weak or because the stock isn't strong enough. Maybe it's because the water is so sweet that it becomes lukewarm after eating about half of it. Unlike Eifuku-cho, it doesn't have a film on it, and I can't feel the warm scent of bonito flakes, so there are no times when I think it's delicious. I'm glad that it's quite cheap for Eifuku-cho, but there were other things besides the price. I can honestly say that those who give this ramen a high rating are those who have no sense of taste and have never eaten truly delicious food. The parking lot is difficult to find, but it is located a little far away.”

“Meat soup udon has a light taste, so we recommend the rich one. There is also a parking lot behind Mac. If you go at 11:30, there may be a wait.”

“Full of volume It's so delicious that I can finish that amount without getting bored. A regular portion will fill you up with over 300g. I go at noon and it's very busy. There are often lines, but the store is spacious and the turnover is quick, so it doesn't bother me. The store has customers of all ages, men and women. My favorite is the Savagattu mori (cold), which has a good mix of sourness and spiciness and is full of back fat. It was delicious”

“I came around 4pm on a weekday. So there aren’t many customers. So I had the place to myself, literally. I really like the soba, it is chewy and cooked just nicely. The sauce that came with it was good too! Tempura was not oily and batter was not too thick. And I really like it.”

“Gyoza dumplings are soooo garlic. Noodle is a little wide and flat like linguine which is common in this area. They have counter, chairs, toilet but the atmosphere is pretty much Chinese local street food, even let you feel like you're in Taiwan.”

“I found a nice soba restaurant after a long time. The exterior looks luxurious and has a restaurant-like atmosphere. Once inside, you will take off your shoes and be guided as you are. I was asked if I wanted a table seat or a sunken kotatsu. I chose a horigotatsu It was warm and comfortable I decided what I wanted before I went. Duck soba with top There was more volume than I expected. The amount of soba is also large. The tempura shrimp were huge! The soba, duck soup, and tempura were delicious! I think 2500 yen is quite reasonable for this volume. The customer service from the staff is also great. This is a store I like to go to about twice a month.”

“I visited with my family for the first time in a while. This is the first time I've used it for dinner. I was able to have a relaxing meal in my room. The menu included Kyoto-style dishes, beef, and shrimp tempura, all of which were delicious. The tableware was also very elaborate and I enjoyed it. The staff was polite and I felt comfortable. The illuminated garden was beautiful, and I thought it would be nice to have dinner at night.”

All-you-can-drink available The dishes are carefully prepared with well-balanced flavors as snacks. A wide variety of sake 🍶 For those who want to enjoy I recommend it. Enjoy food, snacks, and alcohol Close to Royal Pines Highly recommended for those staying overnight. Thank you for the delicious time 🙇‍♂️”
