“This is my boyfriend’s favorite place to get pho in Milwaukee; 1) for the flavor and 2) for the price. He orders out from here sometimes once a week. I love their pho, as well as all of their curry options. The ambience is lacking, but you’re coming for the food and flavor, not the atmosphere. The workers are always very kind and have come to know my boyfriend by name! We love this spot!”

“Visiting from STL for business and decided to stop into this little gem. The restaurant has been there a long time so don’t expect modern decor but more of a old school small business that has been there a few decades. That being said the restaurant is VERY clean. We started with their crab wontons. I was pleasantly surprised with a pineapple sauce for the dip instead of the usual bottled sweet n sour sauce you get other places that is way to sweet. The pineapple dipping sauce had a nice balance of flavor and was not too sweet which allowed the wonton to really shine. Their wontons were creamy and crunchy. Great balance. We ordered the Tom Kha Shrimp soup. My husband loved it. Personally I like mine to be more coconut forward and a tad sweeter. I would have also enjoyed a bit more punch of spices. For an entree we had the Pad Pak with Shrimp. It was EXCELLENT. The dish may not look fancy but the flavors were exactly what I would expect a home cooked meal to taste like in this chef’s house. The service was excellent. Kind and friendly man who runs the place. Definitely a restaurant we would visit again. Thank you so much for wonderful meal and smiling service.”

“First time in and first time trying tteokbokki. It was yummy and just what I needed on a cold day. I added beef to mine cause I was so hungry. The spice builds over time. The food came out super fast and the service was quick, nice and the whole place has a really relaxing atmosphere”

“My favorite place to get authentic Vietnamese pho! Over & over again. The broth is very tasty, filled with ample noodles, green onion, a bit of red onion, cilantro, and the various meats & tender tendons are sufficient quantity in the regular size bowl (item B1 Sunny Pho Special). The sides of bean sprouts, jalapeños, & mint are always fresh & crunchy. You're given chop sticks, a fork, and an Asian-style spoon to use. The needed condiments are already on the table for you, like hot chili oil (yum), Sriracha, hoisin sauce, Maggi, etc. Did I say how much I love this place? I really love this place. Dining in is very nice with fast & friendly service. I've also had to-go orders of pho via Door Dash to the hospital, too! Even the to-go version of their pho is very well presented and always very fresh, too. Everything comes separately, so you can put it all together yourself when it arrives, still hot. Really nice. Don't ever change a thing Sunny Pho because you're one of the best AUTHENTIC PHO restaurants I've been to in Madison. I feel like I've eaten homemade pho in your home whenever I visit your restaurant. Thank you very much for that.”

“Food is yummy, a lot of foods I would only typically only eat at home and don’t often see at restaurants so was really interested to try their take. Also lots of nostalgia there! Gives the feeling of eating over at a friends house and having their mom’s home cooking. Doesn’t taste like how my parents make it but still good. Also the portions are huge, we definitely ordered more than we could eat, but have leftovers for the next day. Wanted to try so much but was so full unfortunately. Also charges a 20% service fee for all groups, there’s a big sign in the entrance so if this bothers you might want to reconsider. Also additional 3% fee for credit card; bring cash to avoid that.”
