Vietnam Restaurant
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

1032 W Argyle St, Chicago, IL 60640, United States

“Excellent, authentic Vietmanese food. The Pho Vietnam's broth was perfectly clear and balanced. The Nuov mam chicken wings were crispy, sweet, and salty. The banh mi was great, too. Service was prompt and friendly. My only complaint is that the pho could use slightly more meat and the banh mi needed some more pickled daikon/carrots, cilantro, cucumber, and pate. However, the taste reminded me of authentic Vietnam.”

“No frills Thai restaurant serving up warm and delicious Thai food. Staff was friendly and got me what I needed. Serving was a little slow despite not much crowd. My Pad Phed was a reliable plate of spicy chicken on jasmine white rice - lean slices of chicken and lots of vegetables. Wished there could be more flavors to make it perfect!”

Great Beijing Chinese Restaurant
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

6717 Lincoln Ave, Lincolnwood, IL 60712, United States

“This place is a staple in Lincolnwood! It’s one of the only table service Chinese restaurants in the area and it’s always filled with regulars! The food is always fresh and the service was also great! They have a deep menu and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like here. Prices are reasonable and the manger who works the front counter is hilarious! He makes us smile every time we come in!”

Seven Treasures Cantonese Restaurant
4.2
( 8 reviews )

2312 S Wentworth Ave, Chicago, IL 60616, United States

“Its worth the wait. First time trying and likely last as the owners are getting a well-deserved retirement. We waited roughly 3 hours in line and got multiple 554's and their wonton soup with noodles. When I tell you places don't make it homemade like this anymore. I'm serious. It's so comforting and tasty. It made that long wait worth every second, and I'm glad to have gotten a chance to try this magical wonder that's been around for a long time. I hope the staff are loved for all of their hard work!!”

“Ramen is great soft noodle and tasty broth but no extra garlic and white sesames as usual. The decoration in restaurant is cute. We came from Los Angeles. We can get the bigger bowl for this price.”

Lao Peng You
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

2020 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622, United States

“Tucked in the Ukrainian Village, between a smoke shop and a doctor's office stands this noodle & dumpling shop. The seating is limited but the aromas & conversations in the dining room are plentiful. Every dish is helmed by a perfect balance of flavor and spice. Call it "friendly fire", the beef noodle soup will envelope you with savory goodness and provide a wonderful numbing thrill for your palate. The Dan Dan noodles are chewy and perfect, with pork so tender and crispy you forget there's a mound of cilantro and peanuts involved. The dumplings are juicy and tender, with broth so lovely you'll want to sip it! The cold chicken displays the quality of the ingredients used, it's fresh and succulent with a perfect amount of fat. The black vinegar, the soy sauce, the aromatic sesame seeds - everything we ate was expertly crafted and intentional. Stop by Lao Peng You with an empty belly and an adventurous attitude, try a couple different things then come back later and try something else - I guarantee you'll fall in love with something on the menu.”

Joy's Noodles & Rice

“I’ve been going to Joys Noodles since 2011 and the prices have gone up so much and the quantity of food has gotten pretty low. I spent $56 today on potstickers and 2 rice/noodle dishes. The noodles taste so bland and have a weird after taste along with the chicken. It doesn’t taste seasoned, everything is so bland and just DRY. I drove an hour just to wait until you guys were open and I was soooo disappointed!”

Jin Thai

“Food is amazing and staff are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and orderly with a lovely atmosphere and nice music. We got the chicken satay which was amazing- the chicken was super tender and the sauce was incredible. I also got the boat noodle soup with pork which was so good- very spicy, meat is very tender, very flavorful. My mom got the yellow curry which I tried and it was very flavorful as well. Definitely recommend! :)”

“Absolutely delicious Pad Thai and Fried rice! The food here is always fresh and the portion is massive for the price you pay…definitely one of the best pad thai in Chicago. “I love this place. I’m not sure why some of the people complaining get the most basic dishes ever. Chicken or shrimp fried rice? Kung pao beef? Boring! Their menu is enormous with a variety of dishes. Be a little adventurous and try something new. They have Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean. They also have boba tea and smoothies. Service was good, they were pleasant and we got our food fast. They also have sufficient seating for dining in. They have mammoth portion sizes so you’ll have leftovers to take home. The prices are very reasonable since you’ll have leftovers to take to work. It’s located by a Jewel so plenty of parking available. -pumpkin fried with salty egg 4 - first time trying this. I would recommend eating this with rice, that way the rice can help soak up some of that salt. -fish sauce chicken wings 5/5 - chicken was big and juicy. Fish sauce was a little subtle. I would have liked to have it more prominent. -sea eel and shrimp fried rice 5/5 - eel is cut into small pieces but good size shrimp. Fried rice had the right balance of flavor. -beef cubes with tomato rice 5/5 - large pieces of beef, fresh tomatoes, and rice was well seasoned.”
