“Update - now 4 stars: I realize that Honda recommends synthetic for cars made after 2010 so I will accept that this is what was recommended. My apologies as I don't think this was the fault of the employee doing the transaction. I give it a 4 for friendliness and the little extras of giving out water and cleaning the windshield. I do think it's slightly deceptive to give a coupon but then add a $4 service fee that is never mentioned other than when I asked and was shown the bottom line on a poster. Thank you for responding. I drive a 2010 Honda and was told I had to get the premium full synthetic oil because my car didn’t qualify for the standard oil change. WHAT?! I’ve gotten standard oil changes for 13 years. However, they had already started the oil change when she told me this. She offered me a coupon which I accepted. However, when the total was said, it didn’t add up. That’s when she pointed to the very bottom line, in small print, at the bottom of the poster that says $3.99 service fee charged on every transaction. I will never have my oil changed there again.”

After going in for oil change, my car gave up and got stuck on side of an interstate and had to get it towed to closest dealership to find what's the issue. After close inspection, it was clear that the air filter was put backwards by them, which caused the sensor damage. Auto Lube negligence cost me over $700 repairs. They denied their responsibility, claiming the dealership is making it all up so they can get money out of me. What?!? This is the most outrageous thing I've heard!... This is not how this should be handled. I was nice and gave them a chance to resolve this ethically and do what's right. I've been their customer for past two years, and will not recommend for anyone to get anything done there. What a terrible way to treat loyal customers!”

“BEWARE!!!! I had my oil changed on 12/14/23 and drove straight home. The next morning I noticed a small oil spot on our driveway. I drove to work, then when I was walking to my car I noticed a very large oil spot in the parking lot. I called corporate and they had my vehicle towed to the dealership. I filed a claim with them. I didn't hear a word for several days so I called Take 5 to ask the status of the claim. The manager said she was new there because the previous manager was let go. She told me the exact same thing has happened to 4 other customers recently. The dealership said the leak was caused from a cracked oil cooler. They said it was caused from tightening the oil filter on to tight. The manager at Take 5 said the person didn't use the proper tool that prevents this from happening. Now fast forward 3 more days and I called to check on the status of my claim and they denied my claim. They said it was a common problem so they could not determine that it was their fault. Now I have to pay $1,400.00 to fix it. I'm now also on the hook for having my vehicle towed also. This has been a terrible experience that has lasted over a week.”
