“Stay was 20-25 August 2023 for business trip. Overall, the hotel grounds were nice, however, I did see many big dog owners who did not pickup their dog’s pop like required. They are normally the ones who won’t. I don’t prefer hotels that allow pets. Also, there was a huge dog that would bark when you walked past that door on first floor and start another little dog up. I saw two cats in two different rooms in the windows. Someone like me with allergies has no chance in a place like this. Room was okay, nice to have a kitchen but there was a food smell, that I think was in the back of refrigerator that I could not get to that would flare up when the room door was opened. I sprayed enough but never got rid of it. Walls kind of thin, because one night, I felt like I was part of a couple’s conversation (him on the phone with her) and I could have given him some pointers. Thank goodness that lasted an hour. Breakfast had hot and cold and was good. Vents were dirty which I had to clean; housekeeping needs to check better before stating a room is ready. Overall, it was a quiet stay, their social not much to go to, great parking, walked the park across from hotel, convenience of being on post. However, pets will push me off post.”

“I enjoyed my stay during a very challenging weather week in Memphis. The front desk staff were quick to check us in, although not the friendliest. The rooms were very clean, although they could really use better lighting. I loved the balcony. The breakfast was fantastic, well stocked with a nice variety of food. While we were there the trolley was not working due to bad weather, but it was an easy 15 min walk to Beale Street. I would definitely stay here again.”

“I've been here a few times and I have to say that the water is magical. It differs from other hot springs, in my opinion. There is an earthy, healing vibe here. From first glance, the grounds look unkempt, but just look past it. They are slowly making improvements. The pool is located inside a 1920s pool house. The caretakers keep it true to its time period. So if it's pouring down rain, you may get a few drops on you inside the pool house. Think of it as refreshing, while you enjoy the sound of the rain on the tin roof. There are more soaking pools on the outside of the pool house. They vary in temp and are kept very clean. The pool house has dressing stalls, bathrooms, and showers. After a designated time each evening, the pool and tubs are clothing optional. There is lodging and dry camping available. Soaking is limited to overnight guests only. If you are lucky enough to rent the ranch house, you have access to a private soaking grotto located in the back of the house. Mosquitoes can be heavy at times due to the nearby wetlands. If you are a bird watcher or rock hound, you are in luck. This is a migration bird area, and you can hike out onto the salt flats where rocks can be found. Call ahead as the pool gets closed down for maintenance periodically and during the winter months.”

“The line staff made this visit 5 stars. Unfortunately, the managers made it 4 stars. We rolled in just before 9 pm on a Sunday evening and, I think his name was Herbert, was a delightful desk agent. We had no reservation and I couldn't remember my company discount code but he was cool, calm, and incredibly helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem for him. As expected, the room was tip top. A nice king with view of downtown (let's be real, that means the buildings and parking lots around, but it was still cool). The bed was so comfy we wished we had either arrived sooner or stayed later. Clean and fresh. In the morning, the desk agent and breakfast attendant were so friendly greeting us with pep and cheer. When I was carrying food to bring upstairs to my husband, the gal came and found me to give me a tray without my asking, she just noticed the help I could use! Also in the morning we observed and walked through three managers who didn't so much as acknowledge us. One I believe was conducting interviews and in between, while another was a bit loud throwing ice away then counting the drawer right there at the desk with guests to see, and the third, a woman, was talking to them as we apparently walked through their conversation. Then we saw her in an office behind the desk later. It was just sad to have the line staff providing great hospitality and feel like we were invading the managers space all in the lobby. If the staff are that good, the managers are probably better than the appearance they gave, as this was just our one encounter. Overall we would 100% stay here again.”
