“We went for our anniversary and took a plan with meals served in the room and private bath on the balcony. They also included a bottle of wine and a special cake as part of the package. The food was excellent (but WAY too much 😆). Dinner was served at our table at our own pace. Service was excellent, with our lovely servers lifelong residents of the area so filled with stories and suggestions. The large baths were great, particularly the rooftop one which looked out onto the ocean. Only things that weren't perfect were: The bath on our balcony didn't have a view ...given the other baths, I'd probably trade an ocean view while sitting on the balcony for the private bath. I'd also love it if the curtains in the room went all the way down. It let in very early morning light at eye level as it turned out But otherwise, very enjoyable and we'd definitely go back”

“This is Chiba Tateyama ROKUZA for the first time in half a year. I stayed at TheRokuza1 again this time. I got used to the ease of use of the room and was able to spend a relaxing and comfortable time. This room is convenient because it's close to the restaurant and next to the private open-air bath (although I don't use it). I really look forward to dinner every time. If you want to eat delicious seafood, you won't be disappointed. In addition to the sashimi, the other menu items are elaborately prepared and can be enjoyed every time. I've traveled all over the country, but for some reason I like the food here the most. There are various types of rooms, so you should choose one according to your preferences and purpose. If you don't care about the room or the view and just want to enjoy the food, you can stay at a very reasonable price. I've been coming here for over 10 years now, and this is an inn I'd like to come back to again and again.”

“I like this hotel and in fact I like this particular chain of hotels. Once owned by Japan Post Office and for use by its employees, it's now privately owned. The hotels seem to be in good locations, reasonably priced. This one is across the road to Kamogawa Sea World and at night we could hear a sea lion calling out! The rooms are clean, simple and a good size. Breakfast and dinner are both nice even though it's buffet style. You definitely won't go hungry! Overall the hotel is pretty good, the food is nice, the rooms are quite a good size, the hot spring baths are great and it's our second visit.”

“I was looking for a quiet and remote yet clean and pristine onsen and this is exactly what I found, absolutely perfect. The private bath on the 3rd floor balcony with ocean view is amazing. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and made every effort to communicate. However due to the off season not all facilities were available (the cafe and pool was closed) and as a solo traveler is was complicated to book and I ended up having to pay for 2 people including dinner which was slightly more expensive than I would have wished for.”

“It said that the road to get there was narrow, but I was really scared in case there was an oncoming car! ️ As soon as we arrived, the staff welcomed us and gave us a detailed explanation. I haven't had a chance to meet the signboard cat. . . The guest room was in a separate building where you could stay with your dog, and the room also had a bath, which was very nice. Maybe next time the room would be dusted everyday. The hotel location is not perfect for tourist. As there's nothing around. But the hotel is nice.”
