“This was my first visit with Dr. Steinberg (after being a patient of Dr. Kampschroeder's years ago, before moving overseas), and I was worried that no one would be able to follow in Dr. K's footsteps. Boy was I mistaken! Dr. Steinberg was great - she was very friendly, took her time with me, explained everything in detail, answered all of my questions, and gave me a much less doomsday-ish assessment of an issue I had been having for a few months. It was one of the more pleasant and reassuring medical appointments I have had in my life. And the tech who assisted me in finding a pair of glasses was equally helpful, patient, and friendly. It was a great experience at Naper Grove Vision Care, and I highly recommend Dr. Steinberg!”

“I’m giving it 2 stars as my first visit was great. Staff was kind. Dr. assured me that the treatment plan was the most conservative with many more options if that didn’t work and to come back in one month. A week later my eye pain was still intolerable. I left a message for Dr Jose. Receptionist was great. The man who returned my call was horrifically condescending and told me that I didn't have pain and tried to define pain for me. He was also suspect that I was using my drops. (My disease is known for being very, very painful.). I asked this man to ask Dr Jose about what I could do to reduce the pain while waiting to see if his treatment plan would work. The man returned my call and said that Dr Jose could do nothing more for me. Strange since a week prior he promised me that there were so many things he could help with. I will tell my eye Dr who referred me to rethink his future referrals (to be fair he recommended a different Dr., but since that Dr. was out on vacation and my pain was horrid, I took what Dr. was available in the practice).”

“My eye doctor retired so I had to find a new doctor. I’m glad I found this place. It’s conveniently located in the South Loop and decor and ambiance is very welcoming. I didn’t have to wait more than a minute to be seen which I appreciate in a business. The staff was also great and a special shout out to Dr. Will. He was friendly and very knowledgeable and made the whole experience very pleasant by answering all of my questions. They also have high tech equipment which allowed me to see the back of my eye which was cool. I highly recommend going with this place for your vision needs. I walked away feeling like I got a thorough exam and that my future eye health will be in good hands. 🙌”

“I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment for 10:10 and set 40 minutes past the time. For about 20 of those minutes no one was being serviced so I'm just sitting there. Then two people arrived, one 15 minutes and the other 25 after me for the employee to call a name that wasn't mine. When I told her I should be next she asked my name and told me the other person appointment. I was told I was next so I waited. At this point it's 10:30 then 10 minutes later she came and called the other person and said his appointment was before yours too. I said mine was at 10:10 and she said his was at 10:00. That meant the other person's appointment was at 9:50 and she didn't show up until 10:25. So you inconvenience people who was on time for someone who was 35 minutes late.”
