“I am truly thankful for Dr. chip Bankston for all he has done for my daughter. He is by far the best Doctor ever. From the start of both my daughter ACL injuries the service was outstanding. He is one the most compassionate Doctor I know. He took time out and explain the entire process and is always available to answer questions whenever you have any. My daughter is able to play this year the sport that she truly loves because of him. Five stars is not enough to give Chip for all that he do. He did not one surgery but two ACL surgeries on my daughter and the care was the same. Two injuries different legs. He is an exceptional Doctor. I recommended so many people to him because he is just that good. Thank you Dr. Bankston you are appreciated. Pictures below is from October 2022 ACL release and November 2023 ACL and Meniscus release. We love you Dr. Bankston. Also, his amazing assistant Will and Nurse Donna is the best!! “I had a referral appointment at ROC for sudden, severe joint pain. The office scheduled me quickly, but then moved my appointment twice, eventually fitting me in between other appointments. Dr. Coen was therefore rushed during the evaluation, but I also did not feel he took my concerns seriously. As my symptoms had recently begun to improve, he implied my primary care provider was mistaken about joint involvement and I had strained a muscle (so severely that I had been incapacitated) without remembering it or having any swelling or bruising. When I asked his opinion about my abnormal lab results, he had no interest in helping me find an explanation for my symptoms. As I began to describe increasing pain in other joints, he cut me off to begin the examination. It seemed as though my unknown (and personally frightening) condition was unimportant if it did not relate to him performing surgery in the near future. I was eventually diagnosed with a rheumatic condition he could not have treated, but the lack of empathy I experienced at ROC was very discouraging.”

“I don't know another way to discuss this review without just going through the facts and presenting them for you to decide. I picked OrthoVirginia directly based on the reviews on here. I specifically sought out Dr. Reis and his staff. I was in pretty bad pain in my lower back that extended down to my toes. I had already been through several different meds to treat the pain but nothing helped. So I booked...and I had to wait for a completely understandable long lead time for the appointment. I filled out all of my documentation explaining the situation on their prescreening forms online a few days before my appointment. When I arrived the person at the front desk read off the chart that I was there to be seen for neck and shoulder pain. That was the first of many signs that this was a terrible mistake. So we fixed the issue at check-in. I was moved to another room where the nurse again asked what was bothering my neck and shoulder. Which I corrected again. So when Shea Monroe, MSN, APRN, FNP-C showed up almost an hour after my appointment time, it did not surprise to find her completely irreverent to my situation. She gave no time or encouragement to discuss the history of my issue. She recommended physical therapy, and asked where to send a prescription we had discussed during her brief interview. When she left the room she didn't excuse herself. She just walked out. 10 minutes later her nurse opened the door to her surprise with me sitting there. Shea had forgotten to excuse both of us. So I went to six weeks of physical therapy, and returned for my follow-up. I was swiftly brought into a waiting room in the back where I sat for 55 minutes without human contact. Moments before Shea Monroe, MSN, APRN, FNP-C opened the door I received another phone call. To her surprise I did not immediately hang up the phone, but chose to ask her to wait for me for a moment. I finished my phone call 30 seconds later and Shea quickly asked two questions: 1.) This is your follow up after 6 weeks of therapy right? 2.) Is the pain gone. When I answered no, she just interrupted and said she was going to prescribe an MRI. Before I let her leave the room I asked where she was putting in for my MRI to which she replied, 'Your neck and shoulder.' When I expressed my frustration with the entire situation Shea again excused herself without a word and came back 10 minutes later with Dr. Reis. I have neve met him at this point and charged into the room with no introduction other than an expedited walk and an offer of a handshake. I refused at the moment, and asked for introductions before we proceeded. I expressed my dissatisfaction again, reciting all of the missteps that had taken place, and when I was done, Dr. Reis' answer was essentially that he wouldn't feel comfortable with proceeding and said he would order the MRI and offer the services of other doctors instead. Instead of fixing anything I was treated as the problem because none of them could get the communications right, and treated my time, and situation as a complete waste of time. The best part of this irony is when I asked Dr. Reis what he was putting in for my MRI...he kindly told me "Well you're here for neck pain so...that." I hope they help someone else. But I'm glad to be done with them, and in particular the 2.4 minutes I had with Shea Monroe, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, and the additional 3 minutes of the receptionists at check-in.”

“I am happy to report that I have spook with the billing director today and I am now receiving my long over due credit. Thank You Melissa!!! As a result, I am changing my review to 4 stars! I still would recommend asking about any possible credit and keeping an eye on your billing so you do not have to deal with Karen!!! The doctors, nurses and PT dept are excellent. Nothing but 5 stars for them. The billing department however is another story. I have very good insurance and all of my bills have been paid by insurance or myself. The problem is that no one will tell you if you have a credit and once you find out that you have a credit, the billing department will feed a line about future appointments and policies on why you cannot receive your credit. I found out nearly 3 months that I had a credit of $893.49 credit which they apparently have held for nearly a year. I have spoke with their billing dept several times and there is one certain person that has zero empathy for the patients situation. Furthermore, I was still being charged for PT session and appointments while I had this outstanding credit. It's very clear to me that there is a huge disconnect between the people taking my money before a session/appointment and the people in charge of processing my claims. How else could I build such a large credit. So now I have giving my money faithfully to LBJI and in turn they continue to hold my money.”

“I had an appointment with Dr Merritt. He was absolutely amazing. I got checked in, his nurse came asked some questions (by the way she was super sweet) she brought me right to Xray then I went back to the room. Dr Merritt came in asked a bunch more questions. He was so caring and got to the bottom of my issues in 1 visit. I thought I would have to come back several times but no! I walked in in so much pain and walked out like i got a new pair of hips!!!!!!! I can’t thank Dr enough and I appreciate the staff so much for being so caring and helpful. I called my mom right away and let her know I found a fantastic Dr who actually cares. She will be on the phone tomorrow making an appointment. From the front desk to Dr I give a million stars”

“Dr. Ricci is an awesome doctor who operated on my fractured calcaneus (heel). Everything went grate.During my recovery he was very attentive and took every precaution to make sure i had no other complications due to my diabetes and edema. DR. Ricci actually listend to my complaints of the first cast fabric causing irritation and adjusted accordingly with a sock like material that worked emmensly. The staff there was also just as attentive as he was and definitly care about the patients.”
