Alameda County Community Food Bank
4.8
( 16 reviews )

7900 Edgewater Dr, Oakland, CA 94621, United States

“I came here as a volunteer and sign up was seamless. I went to their site online and chose the time that fits my schedule. I volunteered for the morning session but you can do both to include the afternoon. You must make a reservation to volunteer ahead of time as they do not accept drop ins. There are several ways you can volunteer, I chose the produce sorting. If it's your first time here, you will need to arrive 15 minutes early and spend about 10-15 minutes for their new volunteer orientation. There is a 15 minutes break between 8:30am - 12pm morning shift. The last 30 minutes of your shift will consist of cleanup for the next volunteers. You will be assigned a lead volunteer to get you familiarize with your task and I must say, they were amazing. I would also like to say that the whole staff here were fantastic and extremely very helpful. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to give back to the community. Cheers!”

Golden Gate National Cemetery
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

1300 Sneath Ln, San Bruno, CA 94066, United States

“Gorgeous, stunning, and humbling. If you have never visited a national cemetery And you are in the South San Francisco area, you should pay your respects and stop here. It's very calming and peaceful as you walk around the different graves and realize the many lives that were lost and warfare and those who were lucky enough to live many years past their service. My family enjoys coming here and just walking and enjoying the peaceful scenery. My grandparents are buried here. It's a lovely place where many lives are memorialized.”

Fairfield Civic Center Library
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

1150 Kentucky St, Fairfield, CA 94533, United States

“Great! Nice, clean and quiet place to go and chill read a book, do research, homework. A/C. They had different art/crafts stations for kids to enjoy. They have the duck pond right outside their back door to go for a walk or just sit and relax. We had an amazing time and plan on going more often.”

Diamond Bar Library
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

21800 Copley Dr, Diamond Bar, CA 91765, United States

“I visited Diamond Bar Library last year Dec 2022 as my regular Rowland Heights Library was closed for a few weeks. Diamond Bar Library is very spacious, However, the entrance is to the back of City Hall, so you have to walk around. An observation the area needs to be lit much better..Diamond Bar Library is clean. It has a study room which you can request to use for 1 to 2 hours. Once no one needs it. Also has a bookshop. The staff seemed pleasant. I will visit again if need be. If you are traveling by bus make sure and leave early. I saw a racoon 😲 first time I ever saw it, was big and fat, our eyes made 4. Thank God I was a good distance away from it, I wa kinda surprised to 👀 it.”

Glen Ivy Rv Park
3.8
( 16 reviews )

24601 Glen Ivy Rd, Corona, CA 92883, United States

“Just spent 5 lovely nights there. For a large RV park it is very quiet. There are many full time residents that are as friendly as can be. Totally enjoyed every minute of our stay. Be sure to stop at Tom's Farm down the road.”

Huntington Park City Hall
3.9
( 8 reviews )

6550 Miles Ave, Huntington Park, CA 90255, United States

“Old School Civic Center experience with building built in the 1950s and an attached park. When I was a kid the City of Downey had a very similar Civic Center, built out of an old elementary school. There was also an attached small park, perfect for spending your lunch break if you worked in one of the buildings. That has been long since demolished and replaced with the familiar fortress like structures of today with no park within walking distance. Really cool place to visit because of the park and many old classic buildings including a disused court building. Check it out. 😃”
