“Found this place from looking at nearby restaurants by our hotel on google maps and it did not disappoint. The staff were so lovely and were happy for us to wait to the side and offered us the drinks menu whilst waiting on a table to come free. We went all in on the top three pasta dishes and every dish was delicious. Service was great for a busy Sunday evening. Definitely worth the wait and a visit! For three pasta dishes, two glasses of wine and two Aperol spritz we were €80 - great value for money!”

“One of the restaurants that open a bit earlier for dinner as compared to the rest, so we were able to dine here at 6.30pm with a whole restaurant to ourselves. Ordered a steak and a seafood pasta and both were brilliant, sat at the window with a nice view of the street. All staff were very eager to serve. Enjoyed the experience here.”

“Found this place on google. After we got there we felt it was very touristy and the food was just ok. Also notice the pasta and truffle. It was more pasta with truffle oil with a few truffle flakes on top. It was also the first place we ate in Italy that pointed out that the service fee / tip wasn’t really included. Basically, the waiter asked us for a tip.”

“Got invited to this restaurant by local friends who spoke so highly of this place but we all left feeling EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED by the service. The lady who seems to be the owner couldn’t care less about the customers, she was constantly on her phone behind the bar. The ONE waitress serving the whole restaurant packed with clients didn’t want to engage, probably because of the language barrier? Or maybe because she was overwhelmed with the amount of work. Food was served and no cutlery, had to keep asking again and again. Food was ok-ish but not as good as my friends said. May be we went there on a bad day! They are apparently known for their truffle dishes hence eating there but wasn’t that good anyway. My friends in l’aquila felt very embarrassed and apologised so much as they also witnessed how bad it was.”

“The food in Le Volte was amazing. We ordered the famous Florentine steak and it did not disappoint. But as the reviews said, the steak was more on the lean side of meat, so it's better to have it cooked rare or medium rare. They also give you a hot plate in case you prefer to cook the steak a bit more after it is served. The staff were also very friendly. We ordered only a glass of wine but one of the staff kindly gave us the bit of the remaining wine in the bottle. Everything was good. My advise is to really have a reservation because the restaurant gets full, even on weekdays.”

“Small rustic and intimate restaurant with great service and food. We managed to get a walk in but the venue is popular so booking a day or two in advance would be ideal. Plates are well portioned and you leave full but not bloated so you can still walk around and enjoy the city. Food was amazing and bursting with flavour really enjoyed the pasta dishes. Venue was very clean and service was quick but we were not rushed. 3 course meal for 2 is about 150eu depending on drinks but worth the money. Would highly recommend and would return”

“I've had many tagliere before but this is another level. It's a marathon not a sprint here so settle in for a gastronomic journey. Ask for the gorgonzola di pecora, make sure you try some bubbles and hang around for the fresh bread which arrives about 3.30pm”
