“On my top 5 of favorites places in Gables area! Our second time here, excellent restaurant, good service, good prices, comparing with how expensive is right now going out in Miami. Plus, the music is not so loud, for some reason in a lot of Italian places they have super annoying loud music. The pasta with clams was good on our first visit, this second time we ordered pear salad, spaghetti bologna and lasagna. Everything was great and big portions, but the lasagna was OUTSTANDING. All the staff were always friendly and attentive.”

Our waitress could have had a better attitude also. As far as the hostesses they where great getting us in the restaurant. “The staff is very friendly and attentive. I wish there was more detail to quality and quantity on this sandwich. There is still bread showing, which means more chicken should be added along with sauce and cheese as it is very dry, so get sauce on the side. Fries are a small hand-full and mushy. For the price and the wait time, there should be more food here. Good atmosphere for family and really nice staff.”

“We’ve been to Pat’s a handful of times since discovering it. When we first started going here you could drop by anytime during business hours and get a table. That is not the case anymore, especially on the weekends and for good reason! We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversary and a new job for our son at this establishment. There pasta dishes are amazing. We always get the pasta flight. It’s made for two but we order individually, lol. The pizza is amazing. Not like your traditional pizza joints. They also have excellent appetizers. If you plan on trying this restaurant on the weekend make sure to get a reservation in advance. Like a week in advance.”

“After a ten year hiatus while living out of the area, we returned to find that Jax is as incredible as we remembered. Every dish from the apps to the entrees were perfection! The calamari was lightly breaded and very tender. The oysters were fresh, perfectly shucked, and the mignonette was as good as it gets. The gumbo is better than most I’ve had in Louisiana, and I travel there a lot for work, nice dark deep roux and rich flavor! The yellowfin tuna was beyond words, my wife never orders tuna anywhere, sushi or otherwise, but this dish was on another level. The halibut dish was equally as good, I love halibut having lived in Alaska and catching my own, Jax is way better than my own fresh caught, the beluga lentils very tasty. Overall, perfect, I hate to keep using that word, but it was perfection. And Kayla’s service was above and beyond while being very friendly and personable!”

“First things first, they weren't out of any of the desserts 😅👏 good job. I got the stuffed shells on a bed of spinach. I had them add grilled 🐔 roasted 🧄 and some balsamic vinaigrette. I thought it was quite scrumptious 🤤 we also had garlic cheese bread and spinach artichoke dip 🤤🤤🤤. Definitely need to have them bring more Tuscan bread, but overall the experience was great. Server was knowledge, attentive, and very accommodating. Great job guys Hey we even had some excitement with the fire alarm going off 😉”

“On a Tuesday evening, my partner and I spontaneously decided to visit Buona Tavola without a reservation, and to our surprise, the restaurant was bustling with patrons. The staff kindly set up a heat lamp on the patio for us and served a delightful Pinot Noir. As we perused the menu, we couldn't resist trying the spicy clams and mussels, a half order of the mushroom bruschetta, and the scallop and prawn salad – all of which were truly exceptional. Initially, we thought we might stop there, but the flavors were so outstanding that we couldn't resist ordering some pasta. The parpadelle pasta turned out to be the best I've ever tasted, perfectly al dente, and each bite surpassed the last. I wished I had a second stomach to savor it all that night! The delightful company of my loved one made the experience even better. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for an indoor reservation next time; the food was genuinely remarkable.”

The building was so cool the way they converted it to this amazing facility.The beers were also delicious I forgot the names but their hazy double IPA was great. They also had a stocked bar for drinks. Service was incredible everyone had a smile from the bartenders to the servers. I would definitely recommend stopping in for drinks or consider for a bigger event.”

“I visited Luce on a solo date while my husband was out of town. I’ve followed this restaurant for a while on social media and figured I’d finally pull the plug on it. It was pretty easy to find on Granby st, which is a plus for me because I get lost easily. There’s a lot of other popular restaurants around it. Now for my review I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation. I was able to book the bar seating for Friday evening around 6, but it was super packed. Reservations are pretty easy to book online, no need to call. Seating: Request a table or bar seating away from the hostess stand. I was sat literally behind the stand, which is right next to the door so I was freezing my entire meal. There was a heater that the hostess had in the corner, but every time someone would open the door I’d have cold air shooting down my back. I’m glad my sweater was thick or I would have had to leave. Please learn from me, request specific seating. Have to knock off a star for this part. Drinks: I only got 2. I started off with a cocktail, which was delicious. I believe it was called the Silver Sun. I’ve been on a mezcal kick lately so that drink was calling my name. Once my app came I switched over to a rosé. Due to where I was seated, I was unable to see the bar so I stuck with the wine and cocktail menu that was provided. The wine menu was extensive and the cocktail menu had a few interesting choices. I’d like to try more on my next visit. Food: Wow. The star of the show was the appetizer, but I’ll start with the pasta. I ordered the Wild Boar Ragu. Delicious. Personally I would have loved a little heat added to it but I’m a spicy kind of girl lol. Beautiful homemade pasta. Lovely tender meat. Decent portion. Flavorful sauce, but could have used a dash of salt. Overall loved the pasta. The app! Clams in Brodo…I’ll be returning for that dish alone. I will say that I think my food had been sitting because the soup had developed a film on top when I received it. It took quite a while to come to so I was a little disappointed but also understanding because it was a Friday night. I was certainly surprised at how large of a serving there was! I can’t remember the amount of clams you got but it was over 10, plus more came in the topping. The soup had layers and layers of flavor and complemented the clams so well. I never finish meals at restaurants but I completely demolished this, bread and all. It filled me up before the pasta. 100% recommend trying the clams out if you’re a seafood lover. Service: Great! My waitress, whose name I can’t remember, was attentive and very friendly. Overall, I’d visit again but maybe on a weekday when it’s less crowded and I can sit somewhere else.”
