Trattoria Demi
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 08:30 PM

1571 Sherman Ave Ste 1, Evanston, IL 60201, United States

“Great experience…. The food was amazing. The sauce on the cheese ravioli was a bit runnier than I’m use to. But it had a great flavor. I would have expected a better choice of bread, but that was good as well. The prices can not be be beat for the quality and presentation. I highly recommend this place. Our server “D “ was extremely friendly and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She helped me choose the right drink. We will make a point of coming back. Highly recommend this place.”

Daisies

2375 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647, United States

“Overall Daisies is a solid restaurant that is worth checking out. The vibe trends to a higher-end cafe and non-pretentious casual look. The price point does not reflect the ambiance. We had the onion dip with homemade chips (delicious dip with thick ridge chips that were a bit salty) and the brussel sprout salad which were both delicious. 8/10 We shared a gnocchi pasta which was quite flavorful though a little on the softer side of classic gnocchi. The flavor profile definitely blended between savory and herbaceous. 8/10 The highlight dish? It definitely was the pork collar. That was AMAZING. Tender, flavorful and paired well with the puree. 10/10 Overall for the table of two we spent +$200. BE AWARE a 25% service charge is included in the bill, though this is noted on the website and menu.”

La Gondola Spaghetti & Pizza House

Open until 09:00 PM

1501 E Vernon Ave, Bloomington, IL 61701, United States

“We went for all you can eat spaghetti tonight and it was amazing! Only $6.75 per person and you get a generous plate of pasta with meat sauce, Alfredo (for a $1 up charge), or meat-free marinara for vegetarians. Each plate came with sweet Italian bread as well. We all enjoyed our food and didn’t even get a refill as the first serving was enough! The staff was friendly and helpful, the service was quick, and the restaurant was clean. We will come back for sure!”

Gussie's Handmade Italian

Closed until 05:00 PM

227 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60610, United States

“Gussies had a great vibe. The place was popping which I guess makes sense given it was a Friday night. Service was good and servers were friendly and helpful. The night started off hot with the table bread but really stopped there. Octopus was decent but nothing worth raving. Pasta was also just fine (pesto which is usually my favorite didn't really do it for me). So maybe stop by for a table bread + cocktail during happy hour but I'm not sure this is standout spot given Chicagos culinary prowess, especially in Italian food.”

Agostino's Restaurant & Bar
4.4
( 16 reviews ) $$

130 Ludwig Dr, Fairview Heights, IL 62208, United States

“Not sure how I haven’t been here before! No one I know talks about it, I’ve lived here almost 3 years and I’m sad I hadn’t been here before. Great service from the staff and delicious food! Was sad to see a small menu I assume due to Covid and lack of regular customers but I hope they go back to a full menu soon cause the bruschetta on everyone’s pics look delicious! I got a delicious glass of wine, the Pollo Marsala(I took a couple bits before I remembered to take a pic), and the spaghetti and meatballs. As good as the Marsala was the spaghetti actually was the star! It was the most flavorful spaghetti I have ever had. My friend got the cheese filled pasta(sorry forgot the name) and there was also super delicious! We ordered a cannoli at the end but it was alright. Not bad, but too much whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top and the filling could’ve been a tiny bit sweeter. Will definitely be back! It was sad to see it so empty with such delicious food. The people at the restaurant across the parking lot are missing out on this family restaurant at that mediocre chain restaurant. If you haven’t tried you must!”

Oggi Trattoria
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 10:00 PM

1461 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60642, United States

“Excellent pizzeria, delicious options. When choosing a Malbec wine, they brought a Zuccardi Malbec saying it was the same thing. Okay, Q is a good wine and goes well (harmonized) with the pizzas.”

Il Culaccino - Chicago Italian Restaurant
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 09:00 PM

2134 S Indiana Ave, Chicago, IL 60616, United States

“Great for lunch! Went here on a weekday with colleagues, plenty of tables available out on the covered, enclosed patio that felt open and let in wonderful natural light. Nonna's Meatball Salad was just right for a light lunch that still has some protein to stick with you for a bit. The flavorful, sauced meatballs are the real star of the show, the rest was basic salad fare. Splurged for some San Pellegrino to round out a fine meal.”

Capri Sogno
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$

24102 Lockport St, Plainfield, IL 60544, United States

“Two very great tasting dishes. Food was very very great. Had the calamari fritti appetizer and it was superb! Place is more enjoyable for small groups of people but does have a bar. Does have one private booth you might want to reserve ahead of time if you want to be away from the bar noise. Overall small cozy and great place. If you love cheese and want to get stuffed the Tortellini Bolognes will get the job done!”

“10/10!!!! My husband and I decided to leave a restaurant down the street from monks due to terrible service . We decided to step inside Minos and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing. The staff was so accommodating. They had a huge party and were completely booked except at the bar. Only one chair was available and they went looking for an additional seat for my husband and I. The bar staff was very knowledgeable and suggested the most amazing dishes for us. CJ was his name and he did such an amazing job . We had the Fritto miso which is a must try. The new sink and side salad was the perfect shareable plate along with the tortellini(best pasta I’ve ever had). As someone who isn’t a sweats girly we decided to try the gelato and OMG !! It was such a creamy and delicious treat. Will be retuning back to explore more of their menu.”

“Really good neighborhood restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious starting with Polenta as appetizer to their specialty pastas all the way to amaretto cake for dessert. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in this area of Chicago looking for a homy Italian restaurant.”

Lagondola Spaghetti House
4.4
( 8 reviews )

“Little place to visit. Tortellini and the bread were too much for two people to eat "on the fly. Quick service, smiles all around. Easy parking and open late enough.”

Carlos & Carlos Restaurant

Open until 09:00 PM

615 Green Bay Rd, Wilmette, IL 60091, United States

“What a wonderful place for a night out. We went here for a nice Valentine’s Day dinner. The server was amazing and very knowledgeable, he helped me find the perfect wine. The bread was so crunchy on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. I was so excited to try the scallops appetizer & they did not disappoint. I had the gnocchi for dinner and he had the shrimp pasta. Amazing & can’t wait to come back.”
