“Over the weekend, I injured my foot and booked to see a local doctor on Monday morning. I saw Dr Ian at 8am. The appointment barely lasted 5 minutes, he didn’t ask when the injury happened (it had been a day and he wrote on my X-Ray referral that it had been a week). He gave me an X-Ray referral and didn’t say anything about when I would hear back, what to expect or how I could manage the pain. I called on Tuesday afternoon and was told that I might hear back by the end of the week. I called again on Wednesday and was asked to call the X-Ray place myself to have scans sent through. The X-Ray place said they’d been sent through already but they’d send them again. I ended up booking with my regular GP and saw him this morning to discuss results and pain management. Luckily no breaks but it’s been a rough week. I never heard back from Telegraph Road Clinic and I’ll never be going back. I’m appalled by the lack of care and professionalism. It feels like I wasn’t treated as a patient but as a money grab.”

“I’ve had plenty bad experiences here During my initial visit to Yarra Medical with flu symptoms, I called the secretary to book an appointment for a sore throat. Unfortunately, she didn't mention the restriction on entering the clinic with flu symptoms. Upon arrival, the secretary on shift informed me of this oversight, which could have been avoided with proper communication. In my second experience with Dr. Edward Skinner, I sought help for severe pain. However, his rough approach and lack of sympathy during the brief five-minute consultation left me dissatisfied. He provided no explanation for the pain and simply stated that it would pass on its own. My third experience was with a female doctor who took skin samples, sent them for testing, and prescribed medication. The subsequent appointment for discussing test results was scheduled via phone. However, when the clinic called with the results, a different male doctor conveyed them. This posed an issue as the condition diagnosed by the female doctor turned out negative. The male doctor, having not seen the skin condition, couldn't offer assistance. Despite the unhelpful appointment, I had to pay. Upon booking another session with the female doctor, she provided minimal help, advising me to return only if the skin condition resurfaced and at the very least said she would not charge me for the appointment. You would think that as health professionals they would aim to treat patients better, with more care and attentiveness. However that was not the case for me at all.”

At IPC you are seen and heard, you aren't just another customer. On several occasions we have had major medical issues and my GP has called out of hours to check in on us. You are not rushed through appointments like some other GP practices I have been to in the past. The Drs are very keen to ensure you are given enough time to address medical issues and have your questions and concerns answered. I cannot recommend IPC highly enough. The care my entire family has received has been incredible and we will continue to use IPC for our health and well being long into the future.”

I was just asking to be referred for a ergonomic chair as per work manager, however was told today was the first time I was being seen so not possible and in order to do so will need radiographic images, etc. I told I had been seeing a chiropractor for 9 years and am new in the area so don’t have a gp yet but the doctor refused to recommend it. I wasn’t asking for a drug. Anyway just got a script of contraceptives as I would be charged for the consultation.”
