Zanies Comedy Night Club

Closed until 06:00 AM

1548 N Wells St, Chicago, IL 60610, United States

“Came here solo for the Troy Bond show. I appreciate the staff putting me at the aisle seat. I use bathroom frequently and since I was by myself made it less awkward when groups came in. It is a cozy venue and the seating is snug. Come early for better seats. There were two girls that came later and kept hassling the staff and waitress Brit for "better" seats. They came later in the night expecting seats and trying to sit in their "regular" seats in a SOLD OUT show. The staff and Brit were so nice and polite. Idk how they could say the same thing multiple times and keep their composure. It became distracting since anytime they would see a staff member they would ask them the same question. Its not until the first act was done that the staff thought of them and told them they can find another seat since there was no shows for the main act. They finally moved and was able to enjoy the show. I recommend the personal pizza and the $15 moscow mule they had. The tables are tiny so it makes it weird if you are eating and others so close next to you are not part of your group lol. It was pricy but was good. Drinks are pricey here so come prepared.”

“Overall nice venue when it comes to appearance. Great place for Caucasian and similar ethnic backgrounds. Not a great place for African Americans. The staff treated us horrible there when we were there working an event. The management even treated us horrible When We complain to them about how we were being treated and the service that was being provided to us was not equivalent to the people we were working with. All the staff were caucasians and the wait staff were College age teenage students that all had a preconceived notion of how to deal with African-American people. They were misinformed. It's just unfair to go to places like that and get the type of treatment we got.”

Mercury Theater Chicago

3745 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60613, United States

“We have come and seen several productions at the mercury theater that were really excellent. The theater is small and so almost every seat is a great view. There is a small stage and bar area at the front that is used for some productions. I would highly recommend any production here. Set design, costumes, sound, direction, and talent have all been top notch and we have had some great experiences!! Do not miss out on an opportunity to check out this theater.”

“It's a wonderful place to enjoy a range of shows like comedy, and performances like the Nutcracker! For date nights, family friendly shows, and musical performances, there's no need to drive downtown. There's plenty to watch here at the arts center - with shows all year round. Features: comfortable seating with excellent viewing no matter where you sit, wheel chair friendly seating, and clean restrooms; easy online ordering, tickets at will call, local art and artists, so many cool events and people come through the center. Parking is easy and fills up quickly, but there are two entrances with parking available. Events around the holidays feature some beautiful outdoor decorations, don't forget to stop by and make some memories.”

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre
4.7
( 8 reviews )

111 W Campbell St, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, United States

“Visited to see “The Christmas Carol” opening night and I loved every second of it! The lightning, the sound, the intimacy of the crowd… this theatre is one of the good ones! Parking was free for the show (not sure if it’s always like this), around a nice amount of food places in case you want to eat before or after the show, and they even have their own mini bar to get wine or beer during the show (I tried their red wine and it was nice for someone who doesn’t really drink wine!)”

Rolling Stones

Closed until 11:00 AM

7300 W Irving Park Rd, Norridge, IL 60706, United States

“Absolutely love Rolling Stones Chicago’s Superstore! Fantastic place to shop for vinyls, both vintage and new releases plus collector vinyls. Also available are CD’s, fun merchandise, movies, a listening station, and more in a great environment. You can spend a-lot of time in here. There were all ages here; saw some 20s, 30s, 40s, and a couple of seniors. This store has been here for a very long time but some of us collectors are going full circle and collecting vinyl’s again and rediscovering places again. I personally collect vinyls of artists that I have seen in person in concerts - many of them vintage, and was able to cross 2 of them off my list. I still like to hold the artwork in my hands unlike digital music. In comparison to my other 2 vinyl stores I frequent this would rank 1 in selection not to mention the fun inside. Rolling Stone has the most to offer IMO overall so will return and I took my daughter with me who ended up loving it too. For those that have to drive a bit, right next door is a really authentic good bakery where you can stop in after and buy a pastry to take home as a little bonus.”

Pirates' Cove Children's Theme Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

901 Leicester Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, United States

“This little amusement park is the perfect size for toddlers and great age appropriate activities for littles. I would say ages 2-7 is the sweet spot for Pirate’s Cove. They everything from a merry-go-round to paddle boats, trains, bouncy house and more. If you haven’t been, do it! It’s a super fun family activity, and they have a picnic area on the pirate ship. What’s not to love?!”

Des Plaines Theatre

“I've been here a couple times & enjoyed both. They work hard to get great performers across the USA & local. This is a historical movie theater with lots to look at. Seats are comfortable. I choose off to the side so I can dance. Sometimes there are 2 bands.”

The Comedy Bar
4.3

Closed until 06:00 PM

162 E Superior St, Chicago, IL 60611, United States

“Love it. We had a great laugh. Even though it says it ends at 9:30, be sure to have another hour to spare because the comedy show does end at 10:30. From 9:30 to 10:30, it's a fast-paced show where the comedian only has 3 minutes. Just be aware if you buy food/drinks, 18% is automatically charged to the final price. Toward the end, they give you the payment machine for the tipping percentage, but that is actually the "additional tip." It is a good tactic; I don't think anyone really noticed unless that is just normal in Chicago. Overall, it's a great comedy spot and great food/drinks. Coming back again!”

Court Theatre

Stay And Play Game Cafe
4.9
( 8 reviews )

3932 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618, United States

“Absolutely loved Stay & Play Game Cafe and wish we had one like this in OKC! The cafe was a board game fanatic’s dream! It was so well organized first starting with most popular, then categorized not only A-Z but also by family friendly, large group, 1-2 players. The displays were amazing and the games went on and on. What we appreciated most about the cafe was they thought out key details such as having large tables so that no matter how large your game was, you had plenty of space for your game without pieces falling everywhere. They had a full restaurant, bar and coffee. We opted for bar, coffee and dessert. The flan was the best I have ever tasted and was so fresh, the coffee was was also very bright and flavorful. Next time we will come with an appetite to try their food as well. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable and even took time to teach us a game we were starting to learn. They also have servers who can help explain games and suggest games. We actually tried a new game we had never heard of thanks to our amazing server. The wait staff also clean up, box up, and put away your games once you are done. I think this definitely helped keep the games in such pristine condition that they were. Keep up the great work, Stay & Play! Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!”

The performs and staff are all part of the show and interactive with the audience, they are all so talented! Everyone was so enthusiastic, it looks like a fun place to work!! The food, drinks and service, live up to the performance as well. Thank you to our server, Noah! You should go, you will not be disappointed!!”

Chess Records
4.9
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 12:00 PM

2120 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60616, United States

“It's very difficult to review such an iconic place such as Chess Records. From the moment you go in you can feel the energy of the building and almost hear the music coming out of the walls right at you. Whether it's Muddy, Willie, Buddy, The Rolling Stones Etta James or the Great Willie Dixon they've all passed through here. Janine, who gives the tour, clearly loves her job and is a part of the fabric of the building. She is a fountain of knowledge and very pleasant to talk with. She has put her heart and soul into Chess and I really hope that it continues to be successful for her and and everyone connected. If you don't visit then you haven't really been to Chicago.”
