“They may not have all the stuff you're familiar with, but all the food we tried was fantastic, some of which we never heard of before. In short, the food and drinks were all great. Good quality food, cooked perfectly. Everything was very tasty. I wish I had a second stomach to try more of what they had. The service was good and the prices for what you get were well worth it. The portion sizes are appropriate where you will be full, but not stuff yourself which is perfect for splurging on one of their desserts. If this restaurant was near where I lived it is one place I would go to regularly for fantastic food that I would not find myself cooking.”

“Excellent as always. I've been going to Chicken Latino since a couple months after they opened in the Strip District. Conveniently (for me) they moved to Beechview a few years ago which is several miles closer to home. The chicken, rice, and beans are always my first choice, but the Lomo Saltado and the ceviche are also excellent and serve to make a hard decision when I stop in for food. Over the years I've also had Chicken Latino cater weddings, work parties, birthdays, and wakes. The food never fails to disappoint.”

Flama Llama

“Great food. Green sauce was really good...not too spicy. The cuts on the scallions and onions were everything! I had a little bit of every ingredient in each bite. The eggs were nice and silky. Definitely enough for one person...and quite possibly 2 people if neither are huge eaters. Service was great. Atmosphere was nice with exception of the chairs which were rather uncomfortable. I found myself shifting around in my seat quite carefully few times. Restrooms were very clean. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd definitely go back to experience an evening meal.”

“Delicious food, large portions, friendly staff. Eating in is possible but can be kind of tight, with the large portions and tight inside, I'll probably get takeout next time but the food was very good and the sauces are all amazing (though the red one is very hot!)”

“One of the lasts of a dying breed. I truly believe Liebmans pastrami is the best of the Jewish delis in NYC. Thin sliced, juicy, and fatty. So delicious. Amazing pickles and cole slaw. Really enjoyed the square knish also. The mustard is a real nice addition. Of course, have to wash it down with Dr. browns root beer!”

“We have been coming here for years it’s probably the only place that has not changed in this shopping center… the location is kind of hidden but the food there is good and the servers are the BEST, they are so accommodating!!!!! You will see they have some combos and if I am in the mood for a different side instead of white rice with my favorite chicken Saltado they will put whatever I ask for. They can mix and match for me I love them so much! The saltado is my go to. I don’t really get sushi there but I see a lot of people getting it and they say it’s always fresh :) I do love the ceviche it’s a fusion ceviche not your normal ceviche… try it. 100 stars for their service! Look at the size of this fried beef cutlet it’s literally too big for the plate and hanging off and this is a normal dinner plate it’s HUGE!!!!! I asked for a side of fried rice with it this will last me 3 meals I have an air frier so I can refry and make it crisp again at home. This is really good with any of their spicy sauces but I am weird I like it with soy sauce. Lol”

“We loved the fish ceviche and the lomo saltado the best, but all the food was very good. Our server (young lady with blond hair) was super nice, made us feel welcome since we first came in, we sat outside since we had our precious dog with us, she kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good all the time. Great customer service, food quality and price. Will be definitely coming back when we are back in Pacifica.”

“Friends took us here saying it's the best Puruvian food in the area. It was ok but we weren't impressed. Spinach empanadas were good, but fried. All other places we've had them they were baked. Maybe that's Peruvian style. Service was good. Got to eat outside since weather was decent. It's in a business complex so a bit hard to find.”

“This place is flat out delicious in my opinion. Great service and the atmosphere is very relaxed kind of fancy but not really. People in there were dressed up some people were not. No judgment from what I could tell. This place would be great for date. Definitely going back to try everything. My only knock on the place is their portion size, I like to see a bit more on my plate, especially for the prices they have. Also, also my pasta would have gone great with a nice piece of bread. Go check this place out for sure.”

“I used to work in the neighborhood a few years ago but never thought to stop by this place. Last weekend I had a chance to visit as some friends organized a get-together in the place. We arrived at about 7pm and the place already looked full. Parking was very difficult to find -there seems to be enough spaces for a restaurant this size but the lot was already almost full. There must be some other business in the building that needs parking at night. The food was just okay but the ambience and the service were great. The music went from a DJ playing the audience favorites to sometimes him holding the mike and singing for us. Most of the diners were Latin and one group seemed to be composed of very fun and lively middle-Eastern people, so the music was salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenatos, with some fan favorites Arabic music from the 1990s and 2000s thrown into the mix. There was a lot of dancing going on. Now, back to the food. A quick survey among our party showed mixed reactions to the food. Some thought it was good. Mine (fish and shrimp in parsley sauce) felt a bit bland. Another friend ordered breaded seafood and she was separating all the bread from her food because she felt that "it came from a can". My wife had the weirdest reaction. She ordered the beef tenderloin in mushroom sauce and halfway through her plate she lost her voice! It was as if an allergic reaction just stopped her vocal chords in their track!!! She stopped eating and after about 15-20 minutes her voice slowly came back. (The beef was also tough to eat and drowned in too much sauce. It was visually unappealing.) Our server was very attentive. She checked on us every few minutes and the orders were correctly filled. The bill however includes a 20% "service charge" (also known as a "tip"), so keep that in mind when you pay your check. All in all, it was an enjoyable visit. Except for the food, of course, which, because it is a restaurant, seems to be an important factor to keep in mind. Alcohol is BYOB. We did not order any desserts. The final bill was about $25-28 per person, including the above mentioned service charge.”

“I’ve been to The Llama’s House a couple times before writing this review. The servers are nice but don’t come off as the most experienced. The same goes for the bartender. The drinks are always strong, which is good, but attention to refills is a bit hit and miss. This past time I wasn’t even provided silverware and had to seek it out myself after the bartender disappeared into the kitchen for a while. The chaufa is my go to meal, and the best thing to order at the restaurant. This time I got it with chicken, beef, and shrimp. It can taste a bit salty at times, but is always tasty. Drinks are expensive if you don’t visit during Happy Hour, so make that a focus if possible.”

“The foodie in me told me (lol) lets go out for some Peruvian food. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try. I called ahead and was told no reservations were needed, upon arrival it took around 7 to 10 minutes to get a table. Service was excellent, very knowledgeable (I asked a few questions about the meal), fast and friendly. Food was good. Appetizers were on point, I would highly recommend the Pisco sour, fried calamari, I would also recommend the red snapper deep fried, the Lomo with potatoes and tomatoes, green rice and la parrillada, you cannot go wrong with the steaks. I would not recommend the Chaufa rice, not sure if the way they serve this rice its cold but mine was, also the rice was not like fluffy, was a bit dry and that is the reason I give only four stars. I will keep looking for the best food in the Hudson Valley so wait for my next review.”

“Even if you don’t eat meat. I recommend this restaurant. JP made a wonderful vegan dish and dessert for me that was amazing! Thanks to JP for being so accommodating. The service, the drinks and the food were amazing! I recommend that vegan and gluten-free items are added to the menu to increase the customer base. If it wasn’t for a friend who told me that the chef would accommodate my dietary choices I wouldn’t have gone to the restaurant. I would give this restaurant 10 stars!”

“🇦🇷 ARGENTINA 🇺🇾 URUGUAY Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: Puerto Madero presents itself as a mercado latino & carniceria, and delivers on both. There are shelves organized by country with products from Colombia, Spain, and of course Argentina, among others. In the back a small meat market has the many cuts of cow and sausages necessary to make your very own home parrillada. One shelf is entirely devoted to different types of yerba mate, the strong preference of most in Argentina for their caffeinated morning beverage. In the back a few cases display freshly baked breads and sweets. At the top of the sandwich list is a slightly odd choice for an Argentinean market. The chivito ($9.99, above and below) is the unmistakable national dish of Uruguay, an always impressive stack of foods caught between bread.”
