Liebman's Deli
4.4

552 W 235th St, Bronx, NY 10463, United States

“One of the lasts of a dying breed. I truly believe Liebmans pastrami is the best of the Jewish delis in NYC. Thin sliced, juicy, and fatty. So delicious. Amazing pickles and cole slaw. Really enjoyed the square knish also. The mustard is a real nice addition. Of course, have to wash it down with Dr. browns root beer!”

“The foodie in me told me (lol) lets go out for some Peruvian food. I'm glad I decided to give this place a try. I called ahead and was told no reservations were needed, upon arrival it took around 7 to 10 minutes to get a table. Service was excellent, very knowledgeable (I asked a few questions about the meal), fast and friendly. Food was good. Appetizers were on point, I would highly recommend the Pisco sour, fried calamari, I would also recommend the red snapper deep fried, the Lomo with potatoes and tomatoes, green rice and la parrillada, you cannot go wrong with the steaks. I would not recommend the Chaufa rice, not sure if the way they serve this rice its cold but mine was, also the rice was not like fluffy, was a bit dry and that is the reason I give only four stars. I will keep looking for the best food in the Hudson Valley so wait for my next review.”

“Unbelievably tasty takeout lunch - not a thing I would change about it. The half-portion rotisserie chicken with three sides ($32) is generous enough to split, which is what we did. The garlic rice was the best I've had outside of Filipino establishments -- there were no throwaway components on the plate. We left delighted and eager to return.”

La Casa Del Pollo

“TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Sure, the food is somewhat alright, however, the cashier with the glasses and mustache is extremely disrespectful. My mother had gotten an extraction so she wasn't able to speak as loud enough. As she ordered the cashier looked at the cooks that were behind him and said "bring in a microphone here!". There was no need for such a comment, we merely wanted to enjoy our food but NO. TERRIBLE service! Instead of eating here, you'd have better chances of having a nice meal somewhere else.”

Don Alex

“First time coming to Don Alex and I felt confident in that I would enjoy myself. My sister has been there many times and vouched that it’s delicious. . My step mother ordered the chicken cilantro soup. I didn’t get to taste it but she said it was delicious and it looked tasty! My sister had the chicken saltado which I can say was good. And my Arroz chaufa was good too. No complaints about the food. The waitress was kind as well just need to make sure when something is being dropped off at the table, they should take whatever empty plates/trash etc away. Things got a little piled up at some point. But fine experience. Would eat there again if I was hungry and in the area.”
