“Charming neighborhood gem.. Fish dept small but worthly packed with quality (some exotic) stock & aquatic plants, aquarium supplies. Also is stocked with supplies for all pet needs- dogs cats birds & reptiles. Even nice selection of houseplants. Saturday morning peals of joy from neighborhood kids makes it magical.”

“We had a great time on the children's tour. Our guide was excellent. The tour is long enough to see and enjoy all the animals, but short enough to not exceed a child's attention span. You can tell they put this program together with a lot of thought and attention to detail. Although we are not vegans, this did open our eyes more to factory farming.”

“I highly recommend the Abingdon Square Veterinary Clinic. From the front desk staff, to the vet and her assistants -- everyone made us feel special and cared for. I got good recommendations for the area and for my dog's food, and they helped with travel documentation. Wonderful!”

“I typically would never leave a bad review after any bad experience i’ve had, but sadly my kids are truly upset i went to the spca on 7/7 my kids picked out the kitten they wanted and was told my staff we were able to visit as much as we wanted since she needed to be fixed before we could take her home. Finally on 7/14 they called and told me my kitten was ready for pick up but couldn’t get there until the 15th, I get there after worked an overnight and was told that the kitten i thought i had purchased was now the black and white one. after spending a week with my kids visiting the “ grey kitten” now they tell me the black and white one is mine. truly upsetting that not only did they make me feel like i was in the wrong, but being insensitive knowing i was there every other day with my kids visiting a kitten that wasn’t even ours. hopefully this is a learning lesson for them so other families won’t be disappointed. I will never adopt from here AGAIN.”

“I first adopted a dog from here almost 30 years ago when I was little. And now here I am as an adult, and I just brought home the two of the most adorable little girl kittens you've ever seen. When my cats Bella and Camilla passed away last …”

“We first brought our dog to Greece in the summer of 2017. We had been taking him to the vet office/adoption center that we rescued him from, but I had an emergency on a Saturday and they were able and ready to help. Ever since that day, we knew that we liked being here when we needed something. The staff were always very friendly, and we were always treated like family. Every decision and every situation always felt very well explained, and they were always up front and honest about pricing, procedures, and follow up. This weekend our dog fell very ill, very suddenly. It resulted in my wife and I making the decision to let our dog go. This has been the hardest experience of my life, but somehow it has felt more comfortable and more manageable because of this animal hospital. I want to especially thank Dr. Sorlie for her help these past few days as they have been long, and unbearable at times. Her candor and her knowledge has been more of a comfort than she may ever know, and for that my wife(Chance) and I are eternally grateful and thankful. I do not know if we will ever have a dog in our family again, but if we do they will only be seen by Greece Animal Hospital.”

“Very professional shelter. I adopted 2 cats, Marlo and Arlan. They are the best cats I've had. Couldn't be any happier. They are healthy and up to date on their shots. They give you a goodie bag that the cats love (home made toys and a small blanket that smells like the shelter) that helps the cats accommodate the new atmosphere. They give you plenty of time to spend with the cats before adoption to make sure you are getting the cat you are looking for. Very happy, and on top of that I am not lonely anymore! Thank you so much.”

“This was my second time making an adoption from this shelter. They obviously care for the animals there and are very pleasant and helpful. Olivia was great in communication and the other woman( don't remember name) very knowledgeable and pleasant as well. Our new kitty was clean, well cared for, the facility very clean as well. Thank you, was so happy to add a new four legged family member recently. Tortellini now known as Sinders is very sweet and fitting in well, we love her.”

“I got Minnie 13 years ago. She was 3 years old and a Yorkie. This is a long life for a Yorkie. She was a good friend to my daughter and a loyal companion to me. We just lost 😔 her to old age. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful dog that loved everyone. This was her last picture. She was happy and disheveled after running around with the kids, at Otsenango Park. I occasionally babysit these children. She loved when we went to the park and had a picnic. She would steal 🤫😉 chicken nuggets (her favorite indulgence). Our hearts are breaking. We hope to find another like her. ❤️”

“We met our fur baby at an adoption event at petsmart through posh pets. That day we met Linda who truly cares about each of the pets she rescues. Linda and Karen are very thorough in checking the family, the environment/house and making sure the animal is going to the right home. We could not be happier with our experience rescuing through posh pets!”

“Got our third fur baby from buddies and I've got to say they really love the animals they ferry all across the US back to Buffalo NY! Our lil girl took a lot of convincing to become a true member of the family but, she truly knows she's loved and cared for thanks to buddies!”
