“The staff and manages at PetSmart were and are always coustey, attentive, knowledgeable and willing to assist me with my needs at any cost. Moreover, they treated my pet as though he was their own. In my opinion they are there the best. I give them a 5 star rating.”

“I think this center must be funded by the amount of animals it shelters, rather than how many are adopted out. The cats are all sitting there in little cages, sleeping in their own litter boxes. They are there for multiple months. Trying to adopt one requires an extensive application and wait time. We got our cat there a year ago, and there are still cats there that were our 2nd or 3rd choice, probably because people gave up trying to get through the bureaucracy of this place. There are lots of options out there to get an animal the same day. I wouldn't support this shelter.”

“The front office staff was pleasant overall but the shelter definitely does not do a comprehensive exam on pets. The pet I adopted had eye drainage the day I saw her and I did apply for her and got approved. After I received the approval call the day after I asked if there were any medical issues I needed to be aware of, to which I was informed she did have an "eye thing" going on and it was being taken care of. When I got there to pick my new pet up, the person who I assume was the manager or director was condescending and nitpicking about everything, from not loading her into the carrier fast enough to not having a blanket in the carrier. She was especially rude when I asked her about my pets eye's and if she would need medication. She then made a phone call to who I may have spoke to (didn't know their name) and proceeded to talk about how it's only a little drainage that could be from anything and that nothing of the sort was done for her eye's. They do give you a free well pet coupon to local vets but they are scheduling at least weeks in advance so that doesn't really help at this time. I managed to get an appointment with my vet only to hear it there is definitely conjunctivitis and bilateral ear infection. I feel like the pets health should have been more of a concern than making sure the cat carrier had a blanket in it. I've gotten a couple pets from HSCC over the last decade or so without really any issues or if there was they were ready to help out but it just seemed kind of on my own this time without any real desire to resolve the issues. Not sure if management has changed or what.”

“I had a great experience. Everything was quick and easy. The people were nice and helpful. I was able to rescue a beautiful golden retriever. I could tell she was taken care of while she was there. Prices for adoption are very reasonable.”

“This Used to be a good place for volunteers. The staff is ignorant. Cats are kept in cages and no human is permitted to engage in play with them. Play is extremely important for cats. Much like humans, cats have a critical period to engage with humans. A volunteer who had washed his hands was greeting the cats only to get scolded by the ignorant staff member threatening to put hand sanitizer and threatening he was getting the cats sick. Hint: you cannot get sickness from a person who is not sick. Wear a face mask 😷 and bring hand sanitizer.”

“Took a tour here and had such a great time. The animals are friendly and adorable; They'll walk right up to you, and you can pet them and feed them leaves! The volunteers are so passionate, and our guide told us all kinds of stories about the animals, their personalities, and how they got there. The people here really care about the animals, and I feel lucky that they opened their doors to us! Looking forward to their events and am even considering "adopting" an animal. ♥️🐐🐓🐖🦃🐄”

“LP/DR: Great encounters for many years. Had a blip during my cats passing that was disappointing to me but not detrimental to my overall experiences. I have been a customer at this vet practice for over 17 years with my cat. As I suspected and was the case, my cat needed to be euthanized and passed on 03.17.2023. While expected, it was a devastating day. Both the vet and vet tech were amazing, kind and empathetic to me and my cat. I was asked if I would like some fur and paw print sent to me as a keepsake, and said yes. About a week later, I was notified that I could pick up my cat's remains and when I arrived home, I realized I was missing his fur and paw print. I contacted Cozy Cats and was told by the office manager that they send out condolence cards with these items. She asked if I had received a condolence card from the practice. I shared that I had not. She said she would do a bit more digging and get back to me the next day. My next conversation with the practice manager, initiated by me, was her sharing that she recalled doing a lot of condolences recently (but not mine in particular since there were many), had searched the office but did not find my fur and paw print and therefore felt it had been mailed and lost by the post office. While I was disheartened to not receive the fur and paw print of my cat of over 17 years, I understand mail does sometimes get lost. However, knowing that nothing was never received, I really expected to receive a replacement follow up condolence card from Cozy Cats (without the fur and paw print) to make up for the one that never arrived. Sadly, that did not happen. As a longtime customer, who has had nothing but positive experiences, I am disappointed with the lack of follow-through, thoughtlessness and lack of concern for their own process during this last stage of my pet's life.”

“They’re incredibly choosy about who they’ll let adopt from them. The staff have been rude to me and my partner every time we have visited. On our most recent visit, we filled out their application form and wrote that we were considering allowing our cats outside in the future. Maybe a rookie mistake — I was living abroad and had no trouble letting my pets outside there. It sounds like the situation here in Baltimore County is that indoor only is the way to go. The staff was very informative on this topic, but only after I’d filled out the form. We were told that since we put on record that we would consider letting our pets outside, we will never in the future be allowed to adopt here. The sad part is they convinced us it was a bad idea, but told me they had to assume I was lying when I said we would be keeping them inside. Well, in reality I have now cancelled the tradesman who was going to install a cat door in my home. So their education works, but I think should be made accessible to all when they walk in the door, not used as a tactic to weed out prospective adopters. It’s sad they don’t have more faith in the integrity of their visitors, especially folks wanting to give a pet a home.”

“We had never adopted before and were not sure what to expect. But we were so happy we went here. The photos of the cats on line were up to date. They had so many great pictures on line that really helped us. We saw a fur baby that looked exactly like our last kitty and we had to go see her. All volunteers here so they accommodated us coming there to see the kittens. I can't believe they all volunteer their time so selflessly. They allowed us to stay as long as we liked. All the cats play and are in a safe friendly, fun environment. We fell in love with our new cat and her sister!! So we applied for both. They answered our questions and asked a lot of questions to make sure the cats were going to a good home, which I respect. They had to call our vet for records and stuff. I think including the weekend we had the cats in 4-5 days. I thought the facility was really cool. It was HUGE. They love and take care of so many different animals there. We wish we could have taken in more cats. There were two other cats that really wanted us to take them home. So many were sooooo cute. Please go adopt these cats. They need loving homes. Thank you Luna House. These sister cats will be very loved and went to a great house. We appreciated everyone there that helped us. We would highly recommend Luna House for adoption of animals.”

“They do a lot to keep these animals fed and safe...everyday! I used to think how terrible for animals to be in cages until I actually saw for myself for what alls is out there against them...the cages are a safe space AND they get clean water and food everyday. Good job AC! Adopt love!”
