“Generally a good experience at the vet. The staff treats me and the animals well, and we always feel well cared for. My cats and dog are all comfortable there, and that makes it worth it to continue going their rather than change, despite their slightly higher prices compared to other vets in the area. I’ve gotten imaging and test quotes for less elsewhere, but with myself and my pets bring happy there, customer service and care outweighs the slightly lower prices somewhere else.”

I have an adopted dog that is terrified of car rides, I have told all for pets several times about this yet nothing in the file, no notes about anxiety. anyway, my dog has been struggling with a persistent ear infection since we adopted him in October (it’s currently Jan 15th) after an unsuccessful visit about 2 months ago, I scheduled another. I was 5 minutes late on a dark, icy night, temps have been -5 at least the last 2 days, roads are covered in ice. when I walked in the door the receptionist informed me “oh I was going to call you and tell you we had to cancel, you were too late” I replied “I’m 5 minutes late with a dog that has bad car anxiety and I’m only 5 minutes late“ I was told “we can make Wednesday work“ I said ”no I need today to work, the dog HATES car rides, they scare him to death, I need to make tonight work“ they replied “sorry there is nothing we can do” if you think this place cares about you Or your animals, your delusional, I will never return. Attached is a picture of the aftermath of a typical card ride (stress induced vomiting)”

“Several years ago, at the advice of a friend, I called and made an appointment with Dr Ann-Margret Morgan for a second opinion. I had a Bernese Mountain Dog that was having severe issues, I had been to the ER vet multiple times and my regular vet at the time just kept telling me she had arthritis and IBD and I was pumping my dog full of meds that weren’t helping her. After 3 days, Dr Morgan had her diagnosed. She had Addison’s disease. A simple 5mg of prednisone daily is all she needed. After a week on the medication, I saw my dog run again and start to get back to her normal self. She saved my dogs life. Dr Morgan is my current vet for my 4 Bernese Mountain Dogs and our 2 new rescue kitties. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. She takes a proactive approach while collaborating with her colleagues. She practices both regular and holistic medicine and applies them appropriately. She goes above and beyond for my pets and I trust her completely. I also have to pay tribute to the support staff, they are all loving and caring to my pets. It’s always a fun outing when we go. I couldn’t recommend a care facility more than Silver Spring Animal Wellness.”

We came into town to Happy Trails having only talked to the staff by phone and visiting the website. The owners and staff were great. The facility was clean. Our dogs were returned happy.
