“I absolutely love this clinic and their staff, and I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else. Blitz is a very anxious, sometimes reactive dog, and since she’s also a big dog, I’ve received judgement in the past at other facilities or just dealt with people that didn’t even try getting to “know” her and just came in to do the bare minimum and left as soon as possible. Dr. Dorset is unbelievable, and she has helped me, Blitz, and my husband in so many ways with the care she has given her and her recommendations. She is compassionate yet firm and a “straight shooter” — I can always trust what she has to say. She is very knowledgeable, and I have noticed that my dog has improved a little bit each time she’s come to a visit as she’s gotten to know Dr. Dorset…they will probably never be besties and Blitz will always hate going to the vet, but she’s making it into a positive experience for her each time. Everyone else I have met at the clinic (techs, front desk) are also wonderful and responsive. Thank you all for what you do and the care you give my Blitz.”

“They don’t have a working x-ray machine for dental visits. This is subpar dental care—you can’t tell if there is decay below the surface without X-rays. Despite reminding me like four times about the $50 non-refundable deposit, nobody bothered to tell me before my appointment that they were only going to do a half-A job without the proper tools. I didn’t find out about this until the vet tech was checking me in. They charge the same price even without X-rays because “we don’t charge for x-rays”. The vet surgeon was really nice and offered to call me back if/when they get their machine working. Not like that gets my day back at work or my dog’s teeth fixed. Also, I heard that prices have gone up by about 50% since spring of 2023, so if you’re expecting it to be cheap, it probably isn’t.”

My older cat developed hyperthyroidism earlier this year and was shortly after diagnosed with early-stage kidney disease. We've figured out the right dosage and diet to keep him healthy and although there have been a few bumps in the road (he stopped eating shortly before Christmas), their quick responses and vast knowledge have helped us get back on track. I am so grateful to the Firehouse office staff for their friendliness, clear communication, and overall helpful attitudes. CareClub has genuinely been a lifesaver for my little man!”

“I brought my 4-month-old miniature schnauzer, Max, for his first grooming. My expectations were that Max would be too nervous and much wouldn't be done. When I met the groomer, Brie, she echoed my feelings. She said she would do as much as she could. She would call me and let me know how things were going. When I got her call, I thought she was calling to tell me that Max was too difficult to handle. Instead, she said Max was doing well and she was able to finish the job. I was delighted with her ability to handle the situation and finish the job.”

Bald spots all over his legs his head looked like a mistake his belly had rashes and cuts from the razor. The absolute worst groomer I have ever had! The outdoor pic was provided and the indoor pic is what I got. Standards are a hard breed to groom and I would have understood. Please be transparent about your grooming skills.”

“I generally try to be positive about these sorts of situations, but this experience deserves a one star review. When we dropped our two cats off (Vincent and Ellie), they were nervous but it seemed like everything was clean and that they would be in good hands. That was a mistake. When we picked them back up two weeks later, there were hairballs in the cat pen, the floors of the cat hotel were covered in food, dried feces, and looked like they hadn’t been swept in multiple days. We were told that the cost of the stay would be around $300 per cat and that we would get a discount since both cats were staying together, but they neglected to mention that there would be both a “Christmas Peak” charge and a “Peak” charge, totaling $8 per cat per day. We were also told that if we chose the Gold package on the day we planned to pick them up, we would not be charged a late pickup fee, and yet we were charged a late pickup fee for each cat. Most egregious of all, one of our cats constantly rubbed his head against the bars of the cage, wearing off the fur and causing him to bleed and scab. We were not informed of this until the day we picked up the cats. This is entirely negligent behavior. If we had known, we could have gotten medication from the vet to help Vincent calm down. As it stands, both our cats are extremely upset and Vincent has a nasty abrasion on his head that clearly took longer than one day to develop. This is not acceptable, and I would advise anyone looking for pet care to look elsewhere.”
