Completely black.”

Vandmanden 10D, 9200 Aalborg SV, Denmark

“TL:DR VERSION: These people have no idea what they are doing with guinea pigs. This is not the place to take your sick pet in Aalborg, especially if you have a four-legged loved one who is not a cat or dog. Our guinea pig got problems with his teeth being too long, and they filed them down fine enough. But after a few weeks, things started going downhill. When he got sick again, they took xrays and told us that he had something called ilius. There was no explanation whatsoever until we got the second and third opinion. They sent us home with the medicines in syringes and no explanation of what the medicine did and what we should keep an eye out for. The next day, we had to go to an emergency vet an hour away because despite the meds, he stopped eating and was refusing anything but grass. Emergencies on weekends cost 3 times as much. But the second opinion was incredible. He sat down, looked over our fur baby carefully, and explained what was happening with our guinea pig. He explained what to do and how often to do it, and he had a positive prognosis. So we went home feeling confident that if we followed the instructions he would be fine again. We get home, and our guinea pig gets worse and worse. We rushed him to a third vet, and she didn't even get the chance to try before he passed on. But she took an x-ray anyway and found that he had an enlarged heart and that it was something he suffered with for a long time. She knew what she was talking about, and clealry had many years of experience with guinea pigs. How is it that after three vets and nearly 5000 kr in medical bills, we find out he had an enlarged heart?? These people have no idea what they are doing with guinea pigs. If you want your little piggies to live, take your them somewhere else!”
