“A real gem in this beautiful town. I had high expectations given the glowing reviews and they did not disappoint. Every course was absolutely delicious. Highlight for me was the aranchinetti. They were fully booked except for an early table at 5.15pm, so make sure you book ahead! We sat upstairs, in a room with wooden beams and Old English traditional decor. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food took a fraction longer than expected but it wasn't an issue. Will definitely be returning. (Menus correct as of Aug'23)”

“Went for tea, shared a faccacia to start, had Spaghetti Puttanesca (Olives, capers, anchovies in tomato sauce) for main, Oh yes and shared a portion of their "chip shop chips" then shared a hot caramel shortbread with their home made vanilla ice cream " Gelato" for dessert, then a wee Irish coffee to finish. Relaxed informal atmosphere with very friendly staff can't speak highly enough about the place. 👏👏👏 Recommended.”

“Came to this restaurant with my partner and daughter for an early Sunday dinner. This place is as close to Italy you will get in the area, food was truly fantastic and the aesthetics of the restaurant tops it off. I deem the pricing of the food to be very reasonable, a pizza and pasta dish, along with a drink, only set us back £23.00. For the quality you get, it’s brilliant. We decided to sit outside in the lovely, colourful courtyard. We were the only ones out there, and that is why I also assume attentiveness in the staff did lack slightly. After bringing awareness to us going outside, we seemed to be forgotten about and I had to go ask for menus and also then go up and order the food too. Apart from this minor and easily-done courtesy error, I can’t fault the establishment in any other way and can only recommend it to anyone looking for a mouth-watering Italian experience.”

This is a rather small branch with just a handful of tables, but we hadn't booked and were able to grab a table without issue. Opted for the Cannibale pizza this time around and it was cooked well and loaded with toppings. Can always recommend Rustico.”

“Mamma Mia is an institution in Oxford, with two extremely popular restaurants. This is because they serve very freshly made, tasty food, consistently and served really well. It’s always a pleasure to eat at their restaurants. The Summertown Mamma Mia recently moved from the premises next door. The new restaurant is excellent - slightly bigger, different shape but still the same efficient service and excellent food. On this visit we shared some starters and I had one of their excellent pizzas: - Crispy Fried Calamari with lemon & caper mayonnaise - Fried Zucchini Sticks with fresh tomato & roast pepper dip - Stagioni Pizza with olives, smoked ham, mushrooms & artichoke, with added anchovies Really good meal.”

“Based on other reviews, I was expecting a lot more. We ordered some water and then proceeded to order our drinks & food around 10 mins later (water didn't show up until we asked a second time). When the drinks arrived, the guy (through no fault of his own) dropped the tray of drinks onto my wife's foot, but they were replaced so no real concern. We did however ask to move inside as we were sat on such a slope. We moved inside and our food arrived around 45 minutes to an hour after we originally ordered. As you can imagine, we were starving and our kids were exhausted. My wife's chicken supreme was absolutely lovely and the kids pizza was really tasty. My burger, however, was shocking. The saddest plate Ive ever seen. Literally burger and fries. No side garnish, nothing. The fries were tasteless and the burger was also tasteless and dry. I had to complain to the manager as I was so surprised at how rubbish it was. I had very little in return for the awful evening and meal other than a discount to my drink! Needless to say, we won't be returning. Wish we had tried the Italian across the way.”

“Working my way through the extensive and varied menu. Pizzeria Bella Italia never disappoints. Even if you can't eat pasta there is something for everyone. My favourite starter is their garlic mushrooms....omg so divine!!! Who'd of thought how delicious the humble mushroom can be when cooked the way Bella does. I can't fault the food, quality, staff, atmosphere and magic of this lovely restaurant in Bury. It is popular with all age groups and families as well as couples. I had mussels in garlic and white wine. The veg is al dente and beautiful. I always look forward to dining here as the food and staff make you feel at home and always welcoming.”

“Has early dinner here. quality of food is fine. I especially like the plain garlic bread (pizza base). Food were served quickly as I requested to leave early for catching bus. Staff are friendly. But we picked the wrong table at window. Due to sun light, it was very hot and I sweated a lot.”
