“It was a cold damp Saturday evening when we decided to visit this Italian restaurant. Wow what a perfect night we enjoyed here. The place was buzzing with locals and the waiters are lively and warm. I have to admit that the decor is bordering on kitschy Italian but it works its charm here. We got given complimentary fresh bread with garlic butter which was delicious. We ordered a jug of house wine which was refreshingly dry and fruity. The menu is vast and you certainly have to return to try out the variety of dishes. I settled for the napolitana pizza and it was absolutely delicious! For pudding, I chose the dame Blanche and it was very nice. We are coming again soon :-)”

“A small local pizzeria tucked away in the small town of Den Hoorn that offers great traditional pizza options. The are only open for dinner but if you are looking for a quality and wholesome pizza experience definitely consider them. They have quite an extensive range of pizzas as well as some pasta dishes. Furthermore you will find a range of Italian antipasti dishes to get you started. Service is generally good and the location is well maintained and cleaned. Come on the bike as parking is harder to find in the village but is normally available in the surrounding streets. Strongly recommend a visit but try make a reservation before.”

“A lovely winter evening spent here. I've only been here once before and this was the first time having a full meal, hence the review. The place is absolutely beautiful inside and the ambiance is incredible. The welcome was alright, not the friendliest but that's Dutch service in general so it wasn't an issue. We ordered a few starters and a few mains to try out as well as cocktails. The drinks were really nice and not a crazy price considering either. The food was absolutely incredible. I'd say the portions could be slightly bigger on the meat mains. The steak was of high quality but the sides to it were lacking a bit as well as the piece of meat itself not being too large. The pizzas are amazing and i'd suggest getting one as a side for the table even if you're ordering other mains. All in all i'd say the winter lodge is definitely up there as one of the top locations for winter. The food is amazing, maybe slightly over priced but you can take it a bit being that the restaurant itself is a joy to be in. Service could be slightly better but they are friendly enough to not take away from the overall experience. I will definitely be returning, if not for anything but the pizza!”

“Great Indonesian food, I like to think it is one of the best in the Hague. Restaurant itself is not to big so if you want to eat there make sure you have a reservation. Location is near the city center and easy to reach by public transport (Tram 6 across the street and 2,3,4,34 around the corner)”

“I had a not so pleasant(food and customer wise) . The service was welcoming and polite. I came here by myself to have a quick dinner. I ordered a calamari fritti as a starter followed by a mushroom and ham pizza. I started my calamari and after the 3rd or the 4th calamari ring was sitting a big hair ( not mine I have sort (5-6mm blond hair) on one mine squid ring. . Came the waitress after a while and ask me that everything is alright? I said that I lost my appetite for this calamari because there is a big hair sitting on my food. I don't want to eat this. Without to offer a new portion or any effort to make better thier mistake, i got my pizza. The pizza was ok 3/5. How ever in the end at the payment they charged me the calamari what I sent back. I said I don't want to pay for that, because I sent it back almost the whole portion. The waitress came back with the idea that I have to pay for the half of it... I asked do I have any other options she said, NO... take your judgment. .. but I'll never come back or to recommend this place to anyone.”
