Lake Parker Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

910 Granada St, Lakeland, FL 33801, United States

“Great spacious. 4 trails each under one mile. Dog bags are plentiful. Pavilions are first come, first serve. Boat launch. Pickleball, tennis courts, shuffleboard and lawn bowling are available. Restrooms are available, although I did not use them. Great playground was not crowded. Nice views of Lake Parker and lots of wildlife and shaded benches. Disc golf course seems well maintained and used. People are pleasant, not crowded on the weekday morning. Protecting against mosquitoes is a smart idea. Pavement is not rollerblade friendly. Love having it close to my winter home!”

“This park is great! The staff is very helpful and the park is well maintained. The trails are short and have lots to look at. The kayak rental was very easy and the bay is fun to explore. I didn't use the campsites, but they look clean and well shaded. They have places to hook a hammock. Overall worth the trip from destin if you are tired of the beach”

Bay Vista Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

7000 4th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33705, United States

“Nice little park, you can view both the sunrise and sunset here. It seems great for fishing and is fairly active, especially near the boat dock. Also a great view of the sunshine skyway bridge! I think they have the bathrooms currently under construction and it looks like they intend to do hurricane cleanup work on the shoreline.”

Arlington Park Sarasota
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

2650 Waldemere St, Sarasota, FL 34239, United States

“Today was my first time at this park, and it did not disappoint. Initially, the park doesn't seem like much, but after the first few feet, you get a fork in the path; I chose to go right. Instantly I am bombarded with Florida's infamous beauty. To each side of me, there are cabbage palms, grand oaks, and canopy after canopy of green waterfalls as I walk down the paved path. As I'm walking, I come across a lake. Once I approach the lake, I can see little heads bobbing from the water; they are turtles, they gollow me as a cross a bridge. Next, I come across different species of ducks, a few bunnies, and squirrels, of course. An hour later, my guy and I call it a day. This park is among the most active with people and animals. What a beautiful way to end a beautiful day. BONUS: There is a dog park along the trail!”

Dade Battlefield Historic State Park

( 8 reviews )

7200 Battlefield Pkwy, Bushnell, FL 33513, United States

They offer many low cost classes, war reenactments and events at Halloween and Christmas. There is a $3 entry fee per car. It is open until sunset.”

Alpine Groves Park

“I’m new in the fruit cove area, something about this park and his riverside view makes me feel so much happy and peaceful. It just literally has become my favorite evening activity. Coming here for a walk and finish the day catching the sunset is just outstanding. I bet new visitors will feel the same too ✨🤍”

Doral Glades Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

7600 NW 98 Pl, Doral, FL 33178, United States

“Excellent new park with all amenities. Doral parks are really incredible and may be the best thing about Doral for families. While not having soccer fields, this park sports a lake, nature reserve with a hiking trail, basketball courts, open grassy area near an amphitheater, sand volleyball and kids playground. The clubhouse and parking are great but it can get quite crowded. It's an excellent place to bring kids”

Anderson Snow Park
4.5
( 10 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

1360 Anderson Snow Rd, Spring Hill, FL 34609, United States

“Their park is awesome! The turf is wonderful if you have a crawler and don’t want them to get wood chips in their hands and knees. My older one also plays soccer on their fields twice a week and they’re always beautifully mowed, well shaded in some areas and bug free!”

Hart's Landing

( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

920 John Ringling Causeway, Sarasota, FL 34236, United States

“Great relaxing, fishing overall scenic spot. There's a small park for the kids to play, spots under the bridge to stay cool. The walking/fishing pier. A small shop with food, drinks, beer, live and frozen bait, and a dock if you pull up by boat. There's also clean bathrooms. Can't go wrong here!”

Floral Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

9530 S Parkside Ave #9500, Floral City, FL 34436, United States

“Nice large county park. The setting is perfect for the disc golf course. It maintains some of the natural landscape instead of being a baren grass field like so many parks are designed. The rolling terrain and oak trees make for a pleasant day, no matter what activity you are there to do. Leashed dogs are allowed on the walking trails, but not the other use areas. Full facilities with bathrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, tennis, racquetball, softball, soccer, and of course disc golf.”

Jarboe Park
4.5
( 10 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

510 Florida Blvd, Neptune Beach, FL 32266, United States

“Lots of playground toys for kids and tennis courts for older folks. The bathrooms were clean and there are tons of birds to watch- even a couple of turtles too! There's a paved walking path meandering around different ponds perfect for dog walking or bird watching. There are picnic benches for eating near the toys. Definitely one of the best little parks I have ever been too!”

John Prince Park Campground
4.4
( 8 reviews )

4759 S Congress Ave, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461, United States

“I spent 5 months there and is a beautiful safe place to go. People friendly, place well maintain and the office personnel really helpful. Definitely I will be back next year. Tue only negative point is that you can’t stay there more than 5 month a year. They should have an area for long term campers since there are not many options in the area and in my case I was working close by and after five months I had to move and find another place.”
