It is certainly not heated. Overall not too fancy, not too artificial, which is its charm. You can bring along your food or sample the local cuisine and treat yourself to large quantities of fried industrial fare drowned in ketchup or mayonnaise. I have once been bugged by a life guard for taking pictures of my son. So whatever you do, avert your eyes from the local cetacea, you perv.”

“I went back after 3 years and the place has improved, is a lot of fun and super inclusive. Beware that bathrooms are not on site, some 150 m. on the way back. They do sell sparkling water and sugary drinks but no plain water so bring some. Is extremely safe but a lot of fun. Sporty but flexible shoes are a good bet. Staff is super helpful and very friendly.”

“We wanted to look at the beautiful poppy flowers. Unfortunately we were a little too late. We still hiked the P1 Germerode hiking trail. We also found poppy blossoms and wonderful flower meadows. In Germerode Monastery, some photos of the poppy blossoms. You should definitely take a look at the monastery. Definitely worth experiencing.”
