“My daughter joined JBCN school Oshiwara last year and the amount of support we got at every step from the coordinators to the staff, teachers and counsellors was exceptional. Everyone had an individualistic approach for the betterment of the student. Feedback and inspiration was provided at every step. The smallest query was addressed immediately and we were kept in the loop as to the submissions and college applications. The principal leads the school from his heart. Glad to have discovered JBCN”

Jbcn International School In Borivali
4
( 10 reviews )

Plot CTS No. 96, Remison Towers, Near Bhagwati Hospital, Baburao Ranade Marg, Opp Union Bank Staff Quarters, Borivali West, Mumbai, 400103, India

“This school is synonymous with the term superficial and the management is money-minded. In lower grades like pre primary, studies were concept driven but in higher grades, it’s just superficial teaching. I don’t understand how do they select teachers during interviews. Many of them scream to teach and use loser type languages for kids as if its a non-private school of mumbai. It’s no value for money as soon primary grades begin. Number of academic days are so less that their syllabus is never completed in any grade. They teach most of the subjects and co-curricular activities on superficial level. To my surprise things ain’t that good at secondary level even for tenth grade, with teachers leaving school and substitutes are less qualified. In some cases teachers go for upgradation courses during school tenure leaving students in lurch for more than a month or two. Karate coaches are busy chit chatting and hand over certificates, belt without any proper exam. What exactly are they teaching kids that you don’t need to learn enough or it’s nice to be insincere as you can still achieve good results? Teachers appear to be unable to cope as well and it is apparent with the way they deal with kids in class.Discipline is just a facade as secondary learners colour their hair and are still allowed in campus. Many of them using foul language with learner’s from lower grades. There is scarcity of basic facilities, with so many divisions on each floor and only two washrooms for each gender which are not even kept clean. I don’t know for what do they charge so much from parents. Kids no longer have any X factor. Parents were promised of a great environment of learning and fun during presentation and it was only visible in pre primary years. But after that it’s been a down hill. Hope school opens their eyes and sees reality. Whatever the kids are achieving are due to coaching outside school whether it’s for studies or skills. I hope school takes above as constructive feedback to help learners reach their full potential.”

Amber International School
4.1
( 16 reviews )

near highland park, near TMC tank West, Dhokali, Thane West, Kolshet Road, Thane, Maharashtra 400607, India

“I AM STUDENT FROM THIS SCHOOL FROM PAST 1.5 YEARS AND I PASS OUT 10TH AND HERE'S MY EXPERIENCE Nothing International about it except the fees. Please don’t go by the 5 star reviews as they have been posted by the school staff and not parents. Apologies for long review but do read it fully as I have many points to say why this is not a good place to put your kids if you really care about their education. Education is not just cramming from a book/PDF and reproducing it in the exams. -The crowd is bad and children use offensive language in classroom (all the top abuses in English and Hindi). No check and balance to discipline them. Lot of bullying and rogue behaviour and school doesn’t take any action against repeated offenders. - Teachers don’t know what they are teaching most of the time. English teachers can’t make basic sentences properly and have bad grammer and pronunciation. They have a fixed curriculum book which they have to follow so no room for curiosity or innovative teaching methods. - Primitive style of teaching with much focus on rote learning. Teachers share PDFs of Q and A and focus is on mugging answers and writing in exam. No concept based learning. - Teachers are rude and many of them pass snide remarks at students to release their frustration. They have a bad temper and most of the time have attitude problem. They treat children like garbage and use bad language with them. They also promote groupism among children and often chitchat about Instagram and personal relationships with their “favourite kids” during class time. Extra curricular teachers just come to school to watch videos on their phones and find lame excuses to not take classes. Dance, Music and PE teachers don’t believe in teaching. They only want silence and any interaction among kids is chided while the teacher scrolls through social media posts. - Though the school has a lovely turf and sports facilities, nothing worthwhile is conducted during PE class. It is free play zone where boys play whatever they can and girls gossip. - The principal (Pritika Das) is not approachable and talks with blunt premeditated, defensive statements. - And if your child has learning difficulties or special needs then this is certainly not the place for them as the school does not have anything inclusive about it. They don’t have a framework or structure to teach children who learn differently. The teachers are not trained to handle Special Education Needs(SEN) and many of them are disgruntled in handling SEN children and treat them like burden. They have 1 special needs teacher who handles all these kids across all grades. These kids are made to sit in one room and not taught anything- no activities. - Coordinator makes tall promises during admission but fails to deliver anything. When confronted with concerns and Qs she would just point you to the principal who will then give rude comments. Horrendous experience.”
