Top 5 Public Services & Government in Texas
2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, United States
“A truly beautiful and peaceful cemetery. I have multiple family members and friends buried here. The grounds are incredibly maintained and well laid out. The memorials area is a perfect centerpiece for the entire place. Even if you don't know someone buried here, it is worth driving through the grounds and viewing the monuments honoring so many of our nation's heroes.”
210 W South St, Arlington, TX 76010, United States
“Had the privilege to volunteer at the Christmas store again this year. They help make many area families holiday's little brighter. I'm proud to be apart of this beautiful community and welcome anyone who can donate their time to help.”
1720 E Main St, Waxahachie, TX 75165, United States
“Texas Department of Public Safety of Waxahachie issues licenses for Texas residents, whether it be for first-time drivers, renewals, expired licenses, or you are just transferring your license from out of state. In order to obtain a license, you must make an appointment that is easily accessible by going online to the website and scheduling for one. Once you schedule your appointment, you must bring all the required documents with you to the appointment that can be found on the website. Upon entering, you will be asked to fill out any additional paperwork and take a ticket number, and wait for your number to be called by one of the representatives. My only issue is that they make it very difficult and hard for you to obtain a license. There are so many protocols that you have to follow, and I feel it's a lack of trust in today's world. After trying to obtain a TX license for over 5 years and visiting the DPS 4 times and taking all of the online drivers courses, watching the videos, and taking the drivers test 2 times I finally did it and got it. Do I feel that everything I did with my time and money was worth it since I have been driving accident free and ticketless for the last 25 years Was worth it? No, I don't, and I'm really upset about this process because I live in a state where at least 90% of the people on the road break all the rules and absolutely deserve not to have a license but instead I'm the person who had to go through a grueling process of obtaining a license. I'm thankful my license doesn't expire for the next 10 years, and after that, I can easily renew it online for the next time.”
100 S Center St #327, Arlington, TX 76010, United States
“The George W. Hawkins library offers several nice meeting rooms. The Resilience Room includes a drop down video screen and a built-in projector with input panel.”
3155 Parkwood Blvd, Frisco, TX 75034, United States
“Great place to learn about the American Cattle-drive history. The whole park is shaded well with lots to read and see. Seating available and amazing sculptures.”
15060 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247, United States
“Shockingly Beautiful Library! This library has the most amenities of any I've visited - a quiet room, rows of computers in several places for adults and kids, various study and reading areas, expansive windows with serene views of the landscaping that wraps around the parameter, a shaded walking trail, and a large covered playground (even the swings)! Attention to detail is everywhere and it was a treat to explore it. After adding in friendly and knowledgeable staff, the Semmes Library had zero competition as my favorite!!! I found myself wanting to sit in peace and stare outside, daydreaming!”
600 Soledad St, San Antonio, TX 78205, United States
“We had a great time here. This is a very large and beautiful library with what seems like millions of books. I used to bring my kids here when it was brand new in the late 90s and early 2000s. It brings back many good memories . It still looks good. There were plenty of staff eager to help. They also had a Texas genealogy room that piqued my interest. I will definitely return to look up my roots and ancestors.”
550 Discovery Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613, United States
“We came here for the first time, September 23rd and we visited the kids area. The book selection was a lot more than we expected. From older classic books to newer ones and everything in between. There were computers set up for kids to play video games, drawing/coloring tables and a small play area for toddlers. We will definitely come back.”
2360 Campbell Creek Blvd, Richardson, TX 75082, United States
“Took my nanny kids to go watch story time. We were denied because we didn’t have a library card. I go to get a library card and can’t because even though the kids live in city limits, I do not. We have been to 3 other story times in the Dallas area and they have NEVER required a library card or registration. Not only this, the old location was complete trash. The new location is located inside a business park and looks super out of place.”
4660 Horne St, Fort Worth, TX 76107, United States
“Excellent voting location. Helpful volunteers, abiding by the most rigid requirements. Thank you for volunteering! You are all appreciated!”
