“We stopped for a pint at The Queen Inn on a sunny Sunday afternoon in August. We received a very warm welcome from the bar team and ordered our drinks - which we found were very reasonably priced. They also produce a range of their own beers, and it’s nice to see the equipment as you enter. The pub has an abundance of outdoor spaces, as well as some undercover outdoor seating too. It’s a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. We didn’t eat but the food menu sounded great, and I’ll certainly be back to try it myself soon!”

“Lovely staff. Great beers. Good pub food. I will be returning with some of my ale drinking friends to sample more fine beers. The porter was probably the best I have ever had. The Goodens Gold was lovely. Initially the IPA seemed a bit sweet but I settled into it after a few mouthfuls. The staff were very good and thanks to Kit for fine service.”

“Stopped for a light lunch. I had the crispy squid from starter menu, more than enough for 2 as a snack. My wife had a wrap which was charred that she didn’t like, so they changed it for a non charred one. Sat in the garden overlooking a lovely lake, ideal”

“Went here whilst visiting the Christmas Market in December. What a lovely building. The staff were so friendly, and we had a right chuckle with one of the barmen who was so welcoming. The cocktails were delicious!! The food was really good too. The only downer was that they didn't have that many decorations up! But I would most definitely visit here again!”

“Girls weekend away we decided to visit Winchester as not been before, we arrived on Fri 1st Dec. That eve as we were walking down through the centre I spotted lots of pretty lights up one of the side alleys, we decided to head there, The Bakers Arms. We were greeted by a lovely barmaid Kim, we only stopped for one as we had booked a table prior to our visit to Winchester at Incognito. But said to Kim we will definitely be back as it seemed like a lovely pub with friendly staff & locals. On Saturday night we went back & had a great night, even though it was packed all the staff were quick to serve & super friendly. The DJ that was on was playing great tunes. Got to meet June the land lady she was lovely & we had a good chat as she is friends with our landlady at The Dolphin. We loved the Bakers Arms & will definitely visit again when in Winchester. Thank you for having us 🥰 & making us feel welcome.”

“After a 3 hour journey by coach, had a battle with security to use toilets, then only allowed 2 people in at a time. They were very unprepared for such a large gathering of away supporters. Queued for 30 mins to get a drink as only one person serving on outside bar. Thank goodness it was a dry day.”

“The Crown inn is a lovely, homely pub with a spacious garden space 🪴- perfect for grabbing food and drinks on a sunny day! On my visit, these were some of the great things I noticed... -Dog friendly (with some gorgeous pooches coming in and out all afternoon!) - Fantastic drink prices (Pimm’s in the summer is a must!) - Tasty food! I had the veggie falafel salad with red peppers and couscous which I enjoyed 🥗 Overall a really lovely afternoon, thank you!”
