“Hands down this was one of the best Sunday roasts I had so far! Delicious food served in a very festive decor-the pub is beautifully decorated and the Christmas crackers were a very nice touch. The food is simply just sooooo delicious. I opted for the confit duck leg with butter beans and all the nice sides too- all washed down with tasty mulled wine. Ended up in style with a very nice dessert. The service was impecable from start to finish which mafe our dinning experience so enjoyable.”

“Amazing the food was lovely. Totally going back, think it might be our new favourite place. The burger I had was amazing and the triple fried chips were the best I have had! The burger was also amazing and it was unbelievable how tasty the mushrooms were in the mushroom parfait and sourdough bread! My 2 year old loved his pasta and some of my chips! Planning on going back for the Sunday roast! My wife is already planning on going with her friends next week, sadly without me.”

“We were very much looking forward to our celebratory dinner but were unfortunately let down by the very underwhelming lamb main : consisting of just one bitesize lamb cutlet on top of extremely salty and rich lamb shoulder and puy lentil stew for £27. The crab starter and orange mousse hazelnut cake were lovely though. Maybe we have ordered the wrong main as we got very food envied by the tomahawk on another table. They did take in our feedback, apologise and deduct a bit from the bill but I don't think we will return.”

“I thought I’d go and check this pub out as I herd good things . It looks very nice inside a lovely bar . I think it’s a bit pricey Very good service. The only thing is I didn’t mention it at the time was the streak I ordered looked cooked outside I then cut into it and there was bit of blood inside. I had asked it to be well done so was expecting it to be brown inside it was a little chewy too . The chips salad was very good”

Although tiny, has the old town look about it, with its low ceilings, wooden beams, a timeless classic. The staff were so polite, informative, and quick on service.
