“Absolutely amazing experience! Our guide Anna was very friendly and showed us a great time. I loved the panoramic moves and the rowdy tipping. Ewok was the other guide for our large group and he had excellent humor and stories as well. We got to experience a quick save of some people who fell out and the River Rat company of boats all assembled in formation to get all of the swimmers and paddles back in the other company’s raft. Steve is a changed man. Thank you to Anna for the ice cream recommendation as well, Sweet Toad was delicious!!”

“I can't rate this highly enough. Took the Mondo Combo tour which was 3 hours, with around 2.5 on the water. I was lucky to be out with just one other kayak and the guide, so we had an amazing personalised experience. I saw Dolphins and Manatee before we'd even paddled off, and then lots more dolphin, osprey, herons/waders, plus a great amount of bioluminescent jellies and plankton once it was dark. The whole experience was chilled and very relaxing. A real highlight of my trip. Freedom, our guide, deserves a special shout. She was wicked. 😎”

“Great place to access the water and float. Bring your own or go to lion's. As long as it's not too busy the water is usually really nice. Avoid holidays at all costs. MLK weekend was hell and a uninterrupted sea of bodies. But it's usually nice.”

The owners, Jeff and Justin, are so knowledgeable and willing to discuss and answer all your questions about the kayaks. Castor River Shut-ins

( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

Fredericktown, MO 63645, United States

“AMAZING PLACE. I've lived in Missouri all of my life and I had just learned about this place. It was so beautiful. It was like Johnson Shut-Ins but maybe a little bigger and the rocks are a pink granite. The water was clear. There was not a large amount of people there but the water was pretty cold. The path is a little more challenging than Johnson Shut-Ins but not too difficult. There was plenty of parking.”

Hiwassee Outfitters

( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

155 Ellis Creek Rd, Reliance, TN 37369, United States

“We had a raft of 5 people, and we all loved it. Ages 14-42. We did get stuck twice on rocks but were able to push off with our oars. There weren't many openings for us to pull off and hang a bit like we wanted. Seemed like debris had gotten caught in areas that we may have been able to stop at. There are areas where the water flowed fast, and there were areas where we were just able to slowly coast along and enjoy the views. We were able to pretty much stay close to another raft of family members. Don't think about this trip people, do it!”

Nro Canoe Rental & Campground
4.4
( 8 reviews )

171 Nro Rd, Lebanon, MO 65536, United States

“Come EARLY if you want a good camping spot! We had a great time floating this last weekend, spent 3 nights camping as well. Parts of the flowing creeks were deep enough to swim in even. Definitely will come again. Just perhaps on a less busy day. Things to know: 1. Nearest town is 25-30 minutes away 2. There are two camp stores. One by the river the other on the top (where you need to check in) 3. It's pricey! $8 for large bag of ice (same price for the wood). Definitely $$ for drinks as well 4. CROWDED at the campsites Fridays and Saturday nights. By 11am Sunday nearly the whole camp was cleared out. Wish we floated on Sunday instead. It was peaceful compared to the chaos of the last two nights 5. There are flushing toilets and showers at the front of the campsite. Near the back you'll have to use the portable restrooms 6. Wear shoes, it's rocky 7. HIDE YOUR FOOD at night, the possums and wild animals at night were no joke. Definitely regret leaving out the marshmallows. Ha ha”

“Bry made the entire trip so much fun and memorable for me and my love. We were running 15 minutes behind due to traffic, but Bry was still able to take us out on a private tour just before the park closed. It truly lifted our spirits and captured my love in her essence and reminded me of all the reasons I love her. Next time we will definitely bring our swimsuits and hop in the water. The path she took us on was very beautiful and so peaceful. I highly recommend booking!”

“This was an awesome place. Rented a raft for a decent price. Weather was great and the water was cool. Celebrated a birthday on the River and built great memories. Bring a cooler and some food. Plenty of spots to pull over and chill. There's also a nice place to stop and jump into the water. Look for it on the left. There are plenty of spots on the River where it slows down and it's good to jump in for a dip. Highly recommend!!!!”
