I had the ramen and the cauliflower bites (not technically vegan since they have honey) but wow everything was great! Really cool atmosphere and great service as well. Wish I was there for longer so I could have eaten there again!”

“Went there with some friends for lunch and ordered quite a lot of the main dishes. Their vegetarian portobello mushrooms wellington was really delicious. The texture and seasonings were spot on. The best vegetarian wellington I've had. However their other dishes 'according to my friends' were rather salty. The chestnut hummus starter was nice as well.”

“The food was lovely and the staff only checked on us once which was good. There's nothing worse than eating and people keep coming up to you asking about your food constantly. We went early so there were only a few people in so can't really say about the atmosphere. Will definitely be going again soon.”

“We were searching for Octopus to eat and stumbled across this restaurant in Leamington. Very glad we did, there is some street parking at the front , free after 6pm. Food was excellent and we think good value, nice atmosphere, busy and great friendly service, we ordered several different items and a main course, they all arrived nicely spaced, not all at once. Everything was delicious, octopus, eel, chicken, tempura and Katsura. Will definitely be back.”

“I had the kinoko ramen which was nice and tasty, I really liked the consistency of the noodles and the egg was perfect. My boyfriend had the shio ramen if I am not mistaken and said it was the best ramen he has had. The portions were ample and I think it is a very appropriate price, especially for a small business in the city centre. We also ordered a peach highball that the waiter recommended to get which was really nice and I’d definitely get it again. The general atmosphere of the place was quite casual, you usually share your table with other people. I sat side by side with my partner which made it easier to talk. The music was also exactly my taste in music so it made it even better!”

“Although having never tried much Japanese cuisine before attending, I was slightly apprehensive of the pallet and nervous about cost but after my first visit, I can honestly say, Umi is a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff, lovely ambience and layout but to top off the cuisine is exquisite. The food is really good value for the quality delivered to the table.”

Though the service was quick and friendly as you can expect the Curry was very watery and not creamy at all. The Edamame were just luke warm and not well prepared.”
