“TL;DR - Hollow hype This place has a ton of great reviews, but they seem unfounded. It was packed when we went, but that meant the overworked server helping us was barely around. When we eventually got our food, the sushi was unplesantly dry (and unagi was cold), the skewers were cold and flavorless, and the ramen was akin to overcooked Mr. Noodles with frozen pork cutlets. Save your money, go somewhere else.”

“They serve big portions and the food is definitely home cooked. Some dishes lacked flavour but after adding a bit of hot sauce they were perfect. The rice cakes are quite spicy but very yummy! Atmosphere is very casual. The layout of the restaurant is odd because most of the dining area is looking at the kitchen.”

“Cozy atmosphere, perfect for intimate dates but not so much big group hangouts. Space is pretty tight, and their under the seat baskets for your belongings is appreciated. Prices are on the higher end, but for the taste and quality, I think it's pretty justified. They have nice cocktails, and a good selection of sake. The sashimi, curry and the skewers were very tasty, skip the pickles-they are not impressive, but the best ones, the ones I recommend, would be the miso mackerel and the Tokyo toast- so good! Took one star off of service because while the staff was courteous and communicative when serving you, it was pretty difficult to catch their attention in the first place. All in all, its a good place to try.”

“Visited this place a few times as date night, out with kids, and with friends. This visit was with 4 adults. A popular place especially as the night went on. We went on a Thursday night around 7 pm and it wasn't so busy then. Sat at one of the booths on the side. By the time we left at around 915 pm, place was fully packed and some people were waiting by the door. Ordered the corn cheese, hot poutine, spicy rice cake added with fish cake and noodles, spicy chicken bbq with cheese, and boneless soy and garlic sauce and sides of small bowl of white rice. Six dishes in total. Quite filling, spicy, and yummy! I really liked the soy and garlic chicken, but all the dishes were different and so good. If you're not into spicy food, I wouldn't recommend getting their spicy dishes, but they do have a fair amount of other ones that aren't spicy.The portions were big and had some leftovers to take home after. The service could be improved as they didn't come often, even when it wasn't as busy, and we often had to request them to come to fill the water jugs. Place is small, but clean.”

“The food is great here. The only reason i give 4 starts instead of 5 is because every time i walk in even half an hour before closing , they deny dine-in. Or if they allow dine-in they only give me 5 minutes to order! Which is not very convenient considering not many restaurants are like that! But nonetheless the food is so good! My favorite thing to get here is shrimp tempura rolls!”

“Second time coming here, service is always good and the food is delicious. We really enjoyed our Sushi. We had the lemon and matcha crème brûlée for dessert which was also lovely. I also got some takeaway Salmon teriyaki as well as Sushi, it was packed nicely and the waitress handed me the hot and cold foods packed separately which was really appreciated.”

“This is a great place for Japanese foods. It has happy hour time in special rate. The sake is very yummy, the fresh oyster is delicious as well. “I rate 4.5 out of 5. Food is delicious and fresh, fast serving time and staff are friendly. I love the ramen and the soup base are unbelievable tasty, wish they give a bit more soup. All the sides can be added as your desired. I always end up adding more green onions and bbq pork it’s so good and it melts in your mouth. Kids friendly place do provide kids tableware and a little yogurt drink. Definitely coming back to visit again, since this is secret packet list which don’t want to share to too many people.”

The fried chicken, not our favourite to be honest I got myself “The Seeker” i liked it alright My friend tried the “Dragons Breath” he liked it alright but said it had a stronger flavour of pickles i don’t know what tho Things I liked, The marinated egg (loved it) Hot sauce (the one in the picture) Things I didnt like so much The charshu pork feels like a normal slice of pork though its big Have to pay extra for the egg Broth is not that creamy Leaks on the side of my bowl Overall even with everything I mentioned, id go over and over again”
