“Came here on a Sunday around noon and it was pretty empty. I got the coconut curry pho which actually tasted really good, however not super sure if it is anything close to pho more than the fact that it’s noodles in soup. My friend got some beer chicken dish and said it was alright. The food came out really quickly, would say it’s a pretty good spot to grab a quick bite.”

“Loved the burger! Mac and cheese was very delicious as well. I'm always on the lookout for the best burger and mac, this place is definitely one of the few top. It is dimly lit inside, but I liked the vibes. My partner got the lobster roll and didn't think the size of it justified the price, but he still enjoyed it.”

“This was my first time here the place is small but not crowded at all. The atmosphere is great, service is amazing. I had the Godzilla roll and the Salmon Teriyaki bento box. Both were delicious. The snowy night whiskey based drink was light and refreshing as well.”

“Uniquely decorated ramen shop in the heart of Chicago. There are many hexagonal pods and private booths that will make things feel like you are dining alone. Servers typically won't approach your booth, you'll have to push the button but they respond very quickly. There are some nice specials for solo or duo diners. Menu overall is fairly simple with the kinds of things you'd expect in a Japanese restaurant. The ramen we got was flavorful and the spicy one I ordered was actually very spicy. My only complaint would be the beer I ordered, it was not a full pour and for $8 I'd expect a full glass. Definitely worth your visit if you're looking for Ramen and you're in River North”

“Few vegan options, and we ordered the spicy vegan ramen and it was not spicy. They told us that in order to make it spicy you had to pay an extra 50 cents, which I thought was odd. My sister got the chicken dumpling soup and said it was not good. Overall it was very expensive, the service was bad, and the ramen was not great.”

“Located in downtown Naperville, there are two parking garages nearby. You can find a parking space. Gyu Kaku is usually not overly busy when we came a couple times. Service needs to be improved, more attention to the customers. Prices are the same as in Chicago, not unreasonable. Quality of food is good.”

“Cozy and tasty little ramen spot! Menu has plenty of options with ramen and sushi for all tastes, they have multiple vegetarian options and even a vegan ramen. I had the pork belly ramen which was excellent, a savory and warm broth with the perfect mix of toppings and a generous portion of pork belly. My friend had the vegetarian gyoza ramen which was also excellent. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful; this is an excellent local spot!”

“We came on a Monday night for dinner. The restaurant was half full and we were seated right away. They seem to have a large amount of take out orders, which is great for them. We ordered, and food came out in about 12-15 min. The veggie sushi was fine but not amazing. My partners noodle dish was tasty. The bill was very reasonable.”

“If I could give it 0 stars I would absolutely rude employees, they don’t want to admit they’re wrong asked for sesame chicken and recieved chicken slopped in what tasted like the sauce you dip your egg roll in . What a disappointment also waited 2 hours for my food… not acceptable this is not sesame chicken. And when I talked to the guy at the counter he kept asking me why am I making his job so hard that is not how you treat the people who are paying your bills . Such a disappointment . The guy made me drive back there after I ordered delivery just to prove a point…. He also hung up on me twice when I called him to ask for a refund. Finally got a refund but still worst experience ever Haha it won’t let me comment below but I ate two pieces to see if it was sesame chicken ? It was not…. This owner is a joke”
