“The Old Thatch - Ferndown Dorset FIVE STAR - Everything 2nd visit - Sat 13th Jan 2024 This award winning pub is lovely, not too over the top. As you walk in the door there is an immediate relaxing feel to the place....atmoshere great (log fire burning). We were shown to our table and served by Bradley, who gave us a warm welcome. He was knowledgeable and helpful. It was lunchtime so we opted for the Trio of Venison Sausages and an old favourite of mine Ham, Egg & Chips....neither of which were a disappointment (pictures included) ! Quite the opposite, the meals were Fab !! The team were superb, Bradley was extremely helpful and gave great service (thank you). Id also add that due to the expert service and quality of food we reveived last time out from REI, we returned. Bradley was sure to advise that service was added to the bill before we paid (he asked if we were happy and if we were happy to leave it on the bill) a very nice touch and I was happy to pay it !!
