“We recently became new residents at The Selby, and our experience thus far has truly been amazing. It is worth noting that it has been like that both before and after signing the lease agreement. Our interactions with the lease managers, Adeeb and Nathan, the concierge team, as well as the maintenance team have been great as all of them have been very helpful! Upon moving in, we noted several minor issues within the apartment (like a loose faucet or outlet). However, these were promptly addressed when Mohamed, a member of the maintenance team, arrived to assist us. He successfully tackled five distinct maintenance requests, all during one single visit! Our settling-in has been really smooth and pleasant, so thank you, the Selby team!”

“I had previous experience renting from Akelius and was looking to rent with them again. This time I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mateo Cariboni and he was SUCH a blessing in our apartment search and application process. I originally met him in August during a viewing but was not looking to rent until November and he took the time to work with us one-on-one over a few months make sure that my partner and I were able to find an apartment suiting our timeline. When we found an apartment we loved that was still under construction, he was also able to advocate on our behalf to ensure that the flooring, which was originally scratched, would get renovated - he even asked the construction management to accommodate our request to have the flooring colour lightened during the renovation which I would have never anticipated from a rental agency! I have attached photos of the before and after for reference. I would also just like to emphasize that during the application I had to send my first and last month deposit via bank draft through the mail to Mateo directly and he was very trustworthy; he truly made the application process go smoothly. I don't think we could have worked with a better representative from Akelius to help us through this process!”

“i am so grateful for my time at avant. it is the perfect place to be if you are new to canada or toronto, and looking to make new friends! i met almost all of my closest friends through the building. lots of food and essential stores close + and just down the street from church street clubs which makes for a safe and quick way back from a night out (definitely right where you want to be in June for Pride). i signed a lease with my best friend and we completely shared the space. because of this we were able to have a common area and have space for shakira the cat comfortably. i definitely recommend the 2 bed room with a den! when using the space well it is luxury student living. the units are pretty sound proof, and there are all the amenities students could want! the courtyard is well taken care of and such a sweet and easy way to get some fresh air. it is the perfect space to learn the skills you need to live alone for the first time, and a friendly introduction to renting in Toronto. Miguel in maintenance is always friendly and efficient! Amanda does a great job at leading monthly resident events that make it super easy and fun to meet people and sight see! the prices are high but if you can afford the costs it is so worth it! thank you to the avant for helping me find home in the city!”

Royal yorks turn over cleaning service was spectacular, they accepted my request last minute and the lady did an unbelievable job in just 4 hours! I truly thought the job would take at least 8 hours. Very impressed! Would highly recommend for tenants moving into their new home or for home owners who have a new tenant moving in!!”
