“I worked with Myles and Dennis on my new apartment. They were wonderful to work with. They were always very responsive and handled our questions and concerns quickly. I would recommend them to friends and work with them again in the future.”

“My family and I made a great decision to move to New York four months ago and settle in The Octagon on Roosevelt Island. The peaceful environment is exactly what we were looking for, and we have been extremely satisfied with the building management, the exceptional service by the staff, and the range of top-notch facilities available to us. The prompt response to any apartment issues and the ease of the computerized systems in place makes living here even more convenient. We highly recommend The Octagon as an excellent place to live. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful experience.”

“I love living here! Highly recommend. The doormen (especially) Terrence, Jose, & Mervin) are absolutely wonderful and always welcome us home, help with packages, and check in on us. The apartment itself is very spacious, we’ve barely had any issues and maintenance immediately responds when needed. Love it here a lot!”

“What A scam for young people to rent here. Each person on the lease has to pay $20 application fee. So as I was submitting all the guarantor information I could only do so by paying an application fee. By the time we are done filling out applications the company receives fluff for doing nothing. I explained to the company that the requirements were ridiculous and I worked get everything to them by late Tuesday. I kept up my promise and this morning told the kids they rented to someone else. Don’t use Julie. She will lie straight to your face.”

Blueground | Furnished Apartments New York

101 5th Ave 7th floor, New York, NY 10003, United States

“A few weeks into our move in, the bed in the secondary bedroom broke. When my roommate looked at the bed frame, she discovered whoever fixed the bed from the last time it broke, screwed in a metal water bottle because they didn’t have the proper equipment to fix the bed. Once we let Blueground know, they sent someone to fix it. He came and “fixed it” and the bed broke the next day. It took another week or so for the bed to be replaced. She still went about 3 weeks of sleeping on a broken bed which was uncomfortable and put her body through a lot of stress. Fast forward to October. I had broken blinds in the primary bedroom and requested that they be replaced with blackout shades. I noticed that every other apartment in the building had these shades and thought it would be a simple fix. They came to replace my blinds and replaced them with the same cheap blinds that break easily. I reached out again and asked to have blackout shades as there is a lot of light that comes in the windows, making it hard to get a decent sleep. Blueground said they would order me blackout shades. I was confused when I didn’t see the blinds so I sent an email asking about the installation and was told to check the mail as they sent them. Upon getting the box, Blueground sent me 2 blackout curtains that use suction cups to stick to the window. As frustrated as I was that these were not blackout shades like they told me I would be getting, I would have accepted this as a resolution except for the fact that they sent me 2 curtains and I had 5 windows. This showed me that there was zero communication between Blueground and the apartment management. Then Blueground told me that they would have shades installed the first week of December. When the day of install came and went with no attempt to contact me, I knew there was no way I was getting the shades installed before my move out date. Over 2 and a half months with no resolve is completely unacceptable. I’ve never had this bad of an experience at any apartment complex I’ve ever lived at. Do not rent from them. You will regret it.”

“Nice, comfortable place to stay in the city. |Pleasant staff. Clean facilities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Safe street that is close to the subway station. Nicely decorated facilities. There will be some noise from the stairs but nothing to worry much about.”
