“Such a great place for a walk. There’s a couple of car parks one at each end of the walk, we tend to park at the one between the two reservoirs where there’s toilets and a coffee/ice cream van. There’s decent parking and usually space, on New Year’s Day it’s very busy and you may need to wait or find somewhere else to park. The walk is great all nice paths and great scenery. Dogs love it and there is a spot where sheep are in the next field and some of the wall is low so worth keeping your dog on a lead around there if they’re likely to chase them. When you finish you can head back over the bridge back to the car park or start the walk around swinsty which is just as nice but a bit smaller.”

The track layout isn't bad, considering the limited space available, nice having the upper section for extra variety. It's mostly smooth and fast but a bit bumpy in a couple of spots. “Good fun for all ages and abilities. I went here for my birthday and had a great time. There was around 8 of us and it allowed for everyone to have multiple turns. The staff were excellent and kept out drink orders coming. The activities and shooting games were fun and challenging but not to a point where you are left feeling out of your depth. “This is a lovely little fishery, we did originally pay for the speciamin lakes but ended up having more fun on jennys lake having the children with us. It's beautiful and clean. The fishing shop is well stocked and staff friendly. Jennys lake pats pool and sycamore are very short walks from the car. But even the other lakes are not a major walk. Quite lovely to walk around at sunset. I really enjoyed it here and can't wait to come back. 5 fish in a afternoon was a achievement on its own.”

It is Autumn, but I love that the pool is indoors and is kept warm enough to be used even in a chilled weather condition. It’s a bit pricey though and you need to book ahead - but well worth it. Parking is very easy - there’s always plenty of space. And there’s a great little cafe for after your swim. For kids there’s also the watersports club which is very popular and well worth it”

Mike was superb with my kids and we had a great afternoon of climbing followed by an open session on the boulder wall. The place was almost empty so we had the pick of the climbs, and was taken through to the higher climbing area which was ace. Both my kids thought Mike was great fun and he helped push them to climb some tricky sections. We are going to make this a regular family activity now - such a great, chilled out place with plenty to keep the children busy. Highly recommended.”
